I have this Christmas cactus that I rescued from an office that just didn’t have enough hands or indoor light to care for it… I had it outside in the last few weeks of summertime and it did pretty good but as it’s gotten cold I think it started dying (although the flowers are coming in slowly!). I live in southeast Ontario so it’s pretty cold at night already… I brought it inside but am wondering what else to do to take care of it! It’s somewhat recently been repotted and got new soil and was doing great… it’s the cold that we hate I think. Any and all advice welcomed!!! Thanks! ✨

I think for a day or two but then it warmed up a bit, and then I just brought it inside! The buds are new so I think hope isnt lost?! Just so unsure what to do over winter 🤯

:( I read that they really don’t like below 10°C and frost can kill them. Hopefully it’s not too late! 🤞

That's crazy you say the flowers are still growing. You'll probably have to cut back all that dark sludge green. It won't turn back to normal, it indicats the cell walls bursting in the freeze. And if by luck the root ssystem didn't freeze, it may be a detriment towards rotting. I'd just cut it back and hope for regrowth

I’ll do that today!! The top layer isn’t the prettiest but all underneath is a gorgeous healthy green! I have hope - thanks all!!
