I found it at the clearance section at Lowe’s. I’m not sure how to fix it. It definitely needs a repotting but this is the first time I’ve a plant like this one. I believe it’s call a rose painted Calathea? Any suggestions to bring her back to health?

Big chop… if the roots are fine, thats the only way. If anything, the plant will love it!

Make sure she has good roots and no pests. If that is good, repot it in a soil mix containing peat as they like to be moist and place it where it gets indirect sunlight. Direct sun is a no-no!

Agree with everyone. I think a good pruning, removing all those damaged and dry leaves, and potentially a new, well draining soil mix. This plant also thrives in a lot of humidity so by humidifier or in a room that gets good humidity like my bathroom or kitchen.

Do I chop it all the way down or do I leave some stem?

I only see one or two leaves that I would remove completely. The scars don’t seem to be taking away from the plant so I would leave those alone. You could maybe trim away some of the dry edges if they bother you but she is a rescue and will have blemishes until she grows them out.
