My mom has a pothos that looks sad every time I come over. She is not sure what the issue is. There’s a lot of light in her living room, and she waters every few weeks. I’m wondering if there is a root problem? Any one have any thoughts?

    If it seems to be going limp it could be that the pot is way too big for the plant and retaining way too much water for it to keep up. This could be causing a root problem yes.

    I’ve never had a pothos that can go weeks without water. The soil is too much holding water too long. Definitely reduce the pot size to be just big enough to hold the roots.

    Pot too big for root ball so plant soil is staying too wet. I would check the roots to see if they are black, if so cut away the black root spray the rest of the roots with hydrogen peroxide mixed with water, repot in fresh soil, put plant in a better pot with good drainage( terracotta pot).. feed the plant with plant food, water fresh soil really good, then leave it alone until it is completely dry the next watering. You also could boost the growth with a grow light for a few hours a day.
