Can anyone help me diagnose my bird of paradise? Some of the leaves are browning, while others are curling. Some information about her…she has drainage holes, watering according to the schedule, and is at a window that gets lots of sunlight in the morning but tapers off as the day goes on.
Oh noo! Is the soil getting really dry between waterings? When was it's last repot?
좋아요 1개 Hi! The soil doesn’t seem to be dry. I have to admit I don’t always check. I belief its last repot was in December. I’m curious if cutting off the overly damaged leaves might help?
0개 좋아요I would cut off damaged leaves. Have you checked thoroughly for pests? That first pic makes me wonder if you’ve got some pest damage
2개 좋아요 That’s what I’m afraid of. It’s such a big plant at this point. I don’t know if I’d be able to get rid of all the pests if that’s the case. 😓
0개 좋아요Spray it down with alcohol, keep out of light until it dries. Repeat a few times over the upcoming days/weeks.

Happened to me as well- i bought a deep water meter to actually test how dry is was deep in the pot since they like deep roots, not wide. I would soak this plant is water for like 5-10 minutes. Then let it rest an drain. Dont let it sit in the water then start checking it every day or other day to see how fast it is guzzling water. I am watering my guy every other day rifht now! It is insane
