more info! how much light does it get/where does the light come from (it looks dark in this photo) and what’s your watering schedule? alocasia don’t want to dry out at all, but also don’t want to sit in water. do you have drainage in that pot? i’m thinking this is a watering issue but just in case — any sign of pests?
1 likeIt gets indirect light from the windows in my room, I follow planta’s watering schedule which I know isn’t always reliable, the plant is in a plastic pot that has plenty of drainage but that sits in a decorative clay pot. No sign of pests in the soil or on the plant.
0 likesTry more light — do you have an east or west facing window available? If not I would get a grow light. Id cut that leaf too, there’s no saving it
0 likesYeah mine dropped all its leaves from moving it home and not the right light/ humidity so I’d check both, good thing is it’s already sprouting (what I believe to be) new leaves ! Lol
0 likesIt looks like the pot has no drainage, it could be root rot. Uproot the plant, smell the soil and roots because the rot stinks. if you smell anything feel all the roots, any squishy roots gotta go! Use a clean scissors and then make a 50/50 of water and hydrogen peroxide to spray the roots after cutting.
0 likesI looked at the roots and they aren’t squishy or discolored, they’re white to cream color. The plant is in a plastic pot with drainage and it sits in a clay pot.
