Can anyone tell me what is going on with this pinstriped calathea plant? I’m following the apps recommendations for watering and misting. Do I need to cut them out or will they get better? Thanks

Looks like low humidity and possibly drying out too much in between waterings. I would cut them off as they will not get better

Misting may not be enough… I’ve found it never worked for me! If you don’t want to purchase a humidifier try grouping plants near this one or try a pebble tray with water.

Are you using distilled, filtered, or treated water? Calatheas have a lime sensitivity so you can’t use regular tap water. I use this stuff and it will last forever I just do one tiny drop per gallon jug.

I have only used filtered water. Maybe I’ll try distilled? Thank you for the advice
