The one on the left looks sunburnt. Was it left in the sun? Also, the leaves are badly damaged. Pests? The brown leaves are just wasting energy at this point. Luckily, you have new leaves coming in. I recommend cutting the two brown leaves on the left of the plant. Cut the brown leaf at the bottom center. This will put energy into the new leaves. Plan to slowly cut off another damaged leaf in about 2 months when the new leaves are full size. Repotting: I don’t recommend repotting until about 2 to 3 weeks later. Repotting adds stress to a plant and damages roots in the process. Verify it’s root bound before repotting, i.e., there are more roots than soil. That blue pot is too big as a replacement pot. I see you can fit a brick in between the two pots. I recommend using a smaller size pot when repotting. A heavier clay or ceramic pot can be used if you’re worried about it falling over. Fertilizing: Use 50% diluted liquid fertilizer every 2 weeks. I also recommend adding SuperThrive plant vitamins in with the fertilizer to help improve the plant. It works very well for me. The palm just looks dry. Cut the dead leaves. Water when the soil dries out. Delaying can cause permanent damage due to dryness. Fertilize as discussed above. Good luck 🍀🪴
3개 좋아요Omg!! Thank you so much. This is top tier advice. I wanted to mention that the plant is just sitting in the blue pot. It’s still actually in its original pot. I just bought the blue pot as extra. We just moved somewhere that turns out to be extremely windy so the brick was my quick solution to keep the plant upright is it has fell multiple times. At my old place it was getting eaten up by snails (boo!) and apparently got a bit too much sun/plus not enough water. I will definitely take your advice and get the nutrients you suggested. Thanks so much!

Place a shallow saucer or recycled tuna can of left over light beer (light ales, pilsner, lager, etc.) near the pot. They smell it, crawl into the beer and die after partying!😆

Don’t strictly follow the Planta app schedule without checking the soil is dry using wooded meat skewers. Let the skewers soak up any water for 15 minutes to see the water line in the soil. Water if the soil is almost completely dry. Windy locations will dry out the soil faster. I have this issue with my outdoor potted plants. They dry out too fast. But, they get the best temperatures, humidity and very bright indirect light. It’s a tradeoff.
