So lately lots of people have been asking for help with indoor bonsai’s. And most people in this space are beginners like me. But I know something about difficulty, indoor bonsais are much harder like a ginseng. Outdoor bonsai is easier to manage like juniper or mugo pine. Keeping this in mind if you go out and get a bonsai.👍
How do I propagate my ginseng ficus bonsai?
Hello Planta community 💕 I’ve been growing this baby jade plant from a propagated cutting for about 2 years now and am now wanting to guide it to taking on a bonsai structure but had no idea what would be the ideal pruning method to start this process. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, any feedback would be greatly welcome!!!
Hiya, I’m worried about my bonsai tree. I’ve cut down on some branches and they are all green yet the leaves won’t drop. I’m keeping it as warm as I can, any advice (Plus I’ve been feeding it 2 weeks with the food provided.)
Hi all! I just bought a beautiful Bonsai from Costco. It appears to be a Fukien Tea Bonsai. I am concerned because I don’t see any drainage holes on the bottom of the ceramic pot it came in. Does it need to be repotted because of that? It seems weird they might have sold me the plant in a pot that isn’t suitable! It looks very content in the pot right now but it’s only Day 2 in my home. Any advice welcome.
Hi everyone, I’ve just added this app as I’m having a little spot of trouble. I love bonsais and I saw this one in the shop looking worse for wear. I bought it to try and save the poor thing as I love the shape of the trunk and branches. I’ve put her in a slightly bigger pot and given her a good watering. Any advice at all to bring her back? Label says it’s a carmona
Help! My juniper is browning. It is outside and we get a lot of rain so I’m almost sure overwatering is the problem. It needs a better draining soil but I’m afraid to repot in winter. Should I just go for it? Wondering if some pebble top dressing might also prevent too much water from seeping in? Thoughts? Thank you!

Hi Everyone, I bought some bonsai cherry blossom tree seeds and have had them in my fridge trying to germinate. They were in there 6-8 weeks but doesn’t look like they’ve even begun to spring. Any ideas on how to get them going so I can plant them. Thanks in advance! #needhelp

So I’m still fairly new when it comes to plants, but all the plants I’ve bought so far have been thriving incredibly (I went insane and bought over twenty within a very short amount of time, mostly tropicals like calatheas and nerve plants, and then succulents). I don’t know if I can describe the amount of research I did on every last one of them. But I’ve heard that Bonsais are very difficult, and I’ve stayed away. That was until I saw this guy all alone on a shelf at Barnes and Nobles and impulsively bought it. I don’t know if it’s legit, and I don’t know much about bonsais. I just knew I couldn’t leave it there lol. So before I plant it, please just give whatever advice you can on these “Norway Spruce Seeds”. And I’m assuming that since this was a $9 kit, I probably shouldn’t use the materials they gave me? Thank you all so much ❤️

I was gifted this Bonsai 6 months ago and have never repotted. I watered today and the water ran straight through. I repotted with new soil but is there any hope for her?? (Very beginner plant lover)
