I'm going on a trip for 5 days. My grow lights are not on timers, but the room my plants are in does not have a window. Will it be better to leave the lights on or off while I'm gone?

Hey hey, I want to start using moss/coco coir poles for some of my plants: Monstera Thai Constellation, Monstera Deliciousa, and my White Knight Philodendron. Is there a better one than the other? Preferences? Places where to get them?? Thanks!

Here are a couple of things that have made my plant life a little...I don't know if "easier" is the right word. The squirt/mist bottle delivers a consistent spray; the black squeezie thing is surprisingly strong, and I use it to blast dust and pests off my wooly cactus; you'll wonder how you got by after never searching for another clip. And I'm hoping this latest group of ladybugs can find some non-chemically treated soil and make some families.

Good morning Planta People!! Currently using MiracleGro liquid fertilizer for all of my plants. They’re thriving but I think I would like to transition to FoxFarm. Having some trouble picking out the tropical and flowering plant formulas, and if someone can direct me on which bottles to buy I would greatly appreciate it!

If you have grow light strips you use, what kind do you use? Do they do good? Is 6” far enough away? Obviously I want my plants to thrive, not just do good, but at this point, I’m so over trying to figure out my track light situation. I want to just return the track light and switch to light strips. Recommendations?

I recently purchased blueberry, raspberry and strawberry plants. I will be putting them in large pots rather than planting them in the ground because I rent and want to take them with me whenever I move. I’d love ANY and ALL recommendations on pots, soil, fertilizers, etc. I have done a lot of research online, but thought all of you may have some suggestions and insight. Thanks!

Climbing plant advice: I have a heart pathos ( 4 inch pot), monstera (6 inch pot) and blushing philodendron (6 inch but needs 8 inch pot probably). I’m new to climbing plants. Any Amazon suggestions or recycling/repurposed suggestions? Thinking a moss pole for the monstera but I like repurposed options. Example: glass jar’s repurposed for propagation, smores wood skewers to stabilize etc

A lil before and after! Super clean look hiding all of those wires. Now the eye can focus on the beauty and not the messy cords. A tiny bit of electrical tape (maybe a whole roll) did the trick! This shelf is in my bedroom next to my bed… is 530am too early for timers? lol!! I just get so excited to check on my babies in the morning while drinking my coffee.

With a self watering pot that uses a wick, do you still have to limit the amount of water for plants that dont need alot? Or will the plant only use what it needs?

Im new to soil mixes and knowing each type I need or differentiating the kinds. How should i amend a generic bag of miracle Grow potting mix to make it more draining? It is holding water too long. I have Perlite.

If I’m going to be traveling, what is the best self-watering option for my indoor plants (mostly tropicals)? All of my plants are already potted (with a drainage hole of course), so I’m considering the water globes and/or the terracotta spikes with a bottle of water upside down in it. Are either of these good options/best practices? Additionally, humidifiers won’t be running, so curious how long I could be gone without humidity. Appreciate your insights!!

Planta App Question: If it rains and my plants are listed in the app as being outside, should I mark them as being watered or does the app take rain into consideration? I noticed that it tells me when rain is expected, but still nudges me to water my plants daily (for those that require daily watering).

So I got a ton of watering gloves for a birthday present and was wanting advise on them! I’ve heard people say they don’t replace your normal watering but am slightly confused as to if it adjusts how often you should or if I should only use them when I am on vacation/out of town? I feel like I see people use them a lot? I’d love some advice!💚🌷
