I’m new to the whole indoor planting thing, and I was wondering if anybody knew anything cool things I could 3D print, that would help with my plants? I have a prayer plant and a spider plant, growing under a grow light in my room. I know my other hobbies had cool things I could print to help, so I was curious about indoor planting.

Hello, I have become a recent plant mama and I really dove in. I got a pomegranate tree, 2 banana trees, a pineapple plant, and lithops. I am really not doing great. I want to make sure I have the right equipment and would love some help. I currently have this light but I’m not very impressed, maybe just not using right? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Also any recommendations on fertilizer? Currently I have this.

Going to make this reply a post. Regarding Neem, the two differences, and what/how they work. Neem comes in two varieties. Azadirachtin (seed extract) and Clarified hydrophobic (alcohol "clarified" Azadirachtin). Clarified version, meaning it needs to come in contact with the insect (suffocating them) or infection to be effective. Also usually the better type for fungal infections, if youre goingto use neem. However I would recommend you use an actual anti-fungal product, as it doesn't treat many strains beyond rust. The regular extract you can spray on the plant and when the bugs ingested it, especially the larvae stage, it should poison them. Ideally a cold-pressed is best as high heat destroys the beneficial properties.

Hello. Today is May 1st and it’s 48 F but feels like 37 F. The grass is finally turning green, and the lilac bush is budding. Since it’s almost 50 F, we decided to pull out (excavate) some gardening supplies that was left behind by the previous owner. Needless to say, I should have waited to buy all that new Purple Cow soil! Haaaaa!

Has anybody used this brand before? Dealing with a plant in root shock and hoping this helps if so, can I add it to my water when watering it or just sprinkle it on top? this plant also has fungus gnats which I’m currently trying to get rid of so I’m trying not to water it a ton.

I've noticed that, when some of my plants are on their saucers, they stay soggy/get root issues. It seems like the saucers are preventing air from reaching the bottom of the pots. Does anyone else have this problem? Have y'all found good solutions?

I now have eight plants in PON, and I’m delighted about this! Unfortunately, one of my plants with very fine roots doesn’t look like it’s going to make it; I think I accidentally did it in…😳! However, since PON is spendy, can I reuse it, maybe with a soak in hydrogen peroxide? Please let me know if you know… TIA!

Most of my grow lights are these little Sansi clip lights. I’m going on vacation for a week and I won’t have anyone to turn my lights on and off so I’m looking to get a timer. The problem is, these don’t automatically turn on when I turn my power strip on, you have to push the buttons…so does anyone have experience with this or will my plants be okay without extra light for a week? This is the only window into this room so there’s really not a lot of light that gets in here.

new to grow lights! i bought a couple from amazon but not sure how far or close to my plants they need to be. how long do you keep them on? do you mimic daytime sun or just keep them on at night?

Two questions: Firstly, I just purchased neem oil. I want to make a mixture for pests. I've heard about hydrogen peroxide and alcohol isopropyl. Secondly, I'm wondering about the usage or hydrogen peroxide and alcohol isopropyl. Is it good for watering? Does it disinfect roots? Any ratios/tips?

Hey Wolfen, since you’re changing plants to PON, are you using a PH monitor? I ordered one, but I don’t know if I really need it. Just thought I’d ask your opinion about it. BTW, I have five plants in PON now…yaaaaaay! How many have you switched over? TIA…😉!

I will be moving soon…with 70 +/- plants (and 8 pets 😳🫣). Any suggestions or helpful hints? Packing, transport, keeping away pests and pests, reducing stress (theirs and mine), etc. All tips welcome! (Though this is mostly looking for plant tips lol).

This is probably a dumb question, but if certain plants are sensitive to lime in their watering water, do I also need to mist them with lime free water? Watering the roots, and misting the leaves to increase humidity are very different things.

hi guys!! hope you're having a good weekend so far! what are some of yor favorite scissors or shears to use for pruning or chopping plants? the ones i have are not stainless steel, so they've been getting rusty, and they turn black when i try to sterilize them with isopropl alchohol. tia :)
