HELP… I bought a monstera about two months ago, she was growing very well, a little damage when I got her, but she sprouted a new leaf for me recently… I looked behind the leaves today and notice little brown bumps under the smaller leaves, I did not take a picture but they look exactly like the image I found attached to this post, I also have about 3 gnats living in my bathroom, I thought it was my orchid but now I believe it’s from the monstera. I wiped the bumps off with a damp paper towel. How do I prevent the gnats and the dots from happening again

This little guy just doesn’t want to seem to grow. He’s in chunky soil, near a humidifier, and a grow light. Any tips and tricks to get this little dude to thrive and maybe think about a new leaf?

Just sharing this beauty after a recent up-pot. I can’t believe the growth in such a short window of time!

My monstera, Moira, with some new growth and very big leaves! I think she’s 3 or 4 plants in 1 pot, but I’ll have to repot her very soon, she’s lopsided in this pot and it almost wants to tip over. 😬

So this is Vanessa and when she came home she was literally the fullest, largest adansonii I’ve ever seen but now she’s getting limp and leggy so the app told me try repotting. I am TERRIFIED of repotting because it’s a 9/10 chance it’s going to die on me. (Ok, I’m getting better. Maybe a 7/10.) I pulled her out and she looks to have wrapped roots so I’m wondering how much of it (if any) I should pull and if I should change her soil and/or pot. I wanted to consult the masters before making any moves. She’s currently in an 8” hanging pot with side and bottom drainage. She also had some yellowing leaves and brown babies but I clipped all those so they stop stealing the nutrients. We’re still popping out new babies on a regular basis so I want to do the best I can to keep them unrolling. I know she needs to be watered more regularly and shifted to a bit of a sunnier space which I’m currently working on anchoring some ceiling hooks a bit further from her normal corner. I’d like to one day clip and propagate for my bestie but I want her to be comfortable and flourish here at my home first. I just need some assistance with how to proceed on her home life😫

Got a monstera adansonil for my birthday! Is this an easy plant to keep? Any suggestions welcome!

I feel like my monsters isn’t getting enough sunlight even though I have it right next to the window. It leans towards the window like it wants more light. The leaves are starting to discolor and a lot of the “newer” leave won’t split. It’s been getting nicer outside, between 60-75 degrees, I live in South Carolina. Would it be a bad idea to set it outside and let it get some sun for the next few weeks or even until the end of summer?

I’ve been growing monsteras from seed for a bit now. All but one of my baby leaves is green. This one has an interesting pattern. It’s not a new leaf so it *should* be fully formed now. I’m wondering if the experts out there think this could be variegation? I tried to take a pic the best I could without light glare.

Are any Monstera non toxic for cats? Open to similar suggestions. They’re just so beautiful and it makes us sad we can’t have one because most are toxic.

My local grocery has Thai Constellation Monstera for $29.99 in a 4” pot. Is this a good deal?

Hi everyone, any ideas as to why the newer leaves are growing in yellow? The older, larger leaves look healthy as far as I can tell, but more yellowing towards the bottom of the plant ☹️ Is being in a North West facing window too much light? Any help appreciated 🌱🙏🏻

Good evening, Planta residents! Went on a mission after work to find a rare plant in a not so rare setting. After hitting eight grocery stores, we found a $29 Thai Constellation at Kroger so naturally we had to add to our collection. We also took it upon us to create a Monstera corner and.. I think we’re going to need a bigger barrel. -thekintsugidav
