Morning light for my lady monstera šāļø
Hi all! I just got my first monstera at Home Depot yesterday! A highly variegated Thai Con. Iām so excited because Iāve been wanting a monstera for a bit but wanted the āperfectā one, Iād been waiting for the right one and I finally found it! Iāve done a decent amount of research and I work at a plant store but I love hearing about everyoneās individual experiences and care tips and tricks! Please let me know any advice or knowledge you have to offer :)
Propagated this plant from my larger one less than a year ago. Itās put out two new leaves since then but theyāre giant - will it always put out leaves this large? The original leaf is the one with a bit of browning. Slight background: the mother plant I had was originally smaller (until it wasnāt) and is now quite large and is floppy/spread out. I have struggled with my monsteras having giant leaves, but not many of them, so they look very sparse. Although Iāve had mine for 4-5 years I feel like I still know nothing. Thankfully I havenāt killed them, but I want them to thrive
Hey everyone Iām currently growing this Thai constellation and Iāve noticed that two leaves have started to yellow and I donāt know why, all the other leaves are okay I donāt know if itās a watering issue or a pest issue or a light issue, if anyone could help that would be amazing thank you
Hi everyone! I just got my first Monstera; itās aged and was in a place where it didnāt receive nearly any sunlight or water, I brought it home, repotted it, trimmed her back, and started weekly watering. The plant is definitely in shock; yellowing leaves, droopy and curling in. I donāt know what to do, Iām so scared im killing her and Iāve never had a monstera before. Can anyone give me advice? The first picture was when I brought her home; before transplanting and trimming her, the second picture is right after trimming her an getting her on a moss pole. Last image is today.
Bought a beautiful mini monstera just under a week ago. Just spotted the route on wide side is furry (posted photo comparison to other). When I touched it, a minuscule orange worm reared its head. Anybody any tips or suggestions to what it could be and whether itās treatable? Thanks in advance! Jamie (Enthusiastic but definitely a novice!)
Hi all! I recently got a Monstera Deliciosa as a celebrating for graduating my first student from program! I am obsessed with her already. She is sitting about 10-12 feet from my large south facing bay window that gets bright sunlight for 10-14 hours per day. When I got her, she was already bursting her 6in nursery pot at the seams, so I immediately replanted her in this 8in pot with a drainage plate underneath. I live in the Midwest, so sunlight can be very hit or miss. My fav plant store said if you can read a book in the natural light for most of the day, that should be enough for a monstera. My living room blinds are always open, so itās getting indirect sunlight daily. I do have a grow light that I can supplement the lighting if needed, but Iām really just looking for reassurance on the care. The first picture is this week, the second picture was right after I repotted her!
Hi all! Iām seeking advise on if I should consider pruning my monstera. I have had this one for about a year and she has been growing steadily. I have not repotted her since I got her but she is still growing so I am unsure what to do to ensure that she stays healthy.
Anyone know whatās wrong with this new leaf on my plant? I take good care of it - lots of water good light and mist it for humidity. Not near any hot pipes or anything either which I originally thought about due to the perfect line.
Hello, Iām new here and have had my Monsteraās (Fernando and Emiliano) for about a month. They are growing beautifully and look fine to me but Iām wondering when and if I should repot them. Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Is my new deliciosa leaf to be light green š§š± just want to make sure it's not on its way to turning yellow or anything like my monkey mask likes to sometimes
I have 2 Monstera Peru plants that I got at the same time and are about the same size. Each plant is about 7 inches tall-soil to end of stem tall, both in 4 inch pots, both have good roots and each pot has 7 leaves. I was thinking about combing them into one 9ā pot? What do yāall think of that idea? Or should I keep them separate? I donāt know if it makes any difference, but they were bought at the same time from same seller. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Hey everyone! I just got a few new plants, one being a Swiss Cheese Monstera(Monstera deliciosa) It is my first time having one and i have it currently in my college dorm. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
Hi! I just picked up my first Monstera deliciosa Thai constellation from my local nursery. I understand that these guys like bright indirect light. I currently have it right up against my window that gets the morning sun. The rest of the day, according to the light meter on this app, itās in part sun part shade. My kitchen downstairs has full sun but my problem is it tends be much cooler down there since the windows are kind of drafty. I want it grow HUGE leaves so my question is should I get it a grow light? Or will it be ok the way it is. Thank you! Update: forgot to mention that sheās on an east facing window. Unfortunately I donāt have any south facing windows.
I disinefected what I used to cut and it browned quite badly what is happening and what do I do?
My $15 variegated adansonii wet stick is finally showing some love! Itās so rewarding to grow a plant from nothing, canāt wait for its next leafš¤
