The sheath on one of Herman’s newest leaves is starting to swell and I’m really hoping this is a new leaf getting ready! I’ve given it way more light recently and I’m hoping I see a big leaf with lots of fenestrations!!

Finally getting a new leaf.

A little pouty but I think she will bounce back soon. I was gifted this beauty from a patient at the office I work at. Her name is Baby Monster.

Any advise welcomed . When I got my first monstera over a year ago (off marketplace) she looked leggy and maybe even damaged at the bottom? (See pics) I’ve struggled to train her on a moss pole, first time monstera and trying out moss poles in general. I think she’s looking great now with the growth, but I honestly hate how she looks at the bottom. I’ve contemplated doing a chop and prop starting her over, but where would I even do that since I don’t really see nodes and she’s not really growing aerial roots down there? I don’t want to risk losing it if it’s not really necessary or too risky. Her bottom roots are just so far down on this long leafless stem. I had to do a deeper pot just to hold her up right. Take a look and let me know what you guys think. Thank you

I’m kinda sick of my monstera- I’ve had it for 2.5 years and it’s still never put out a fenestrated leaf while I’ve had it. I’ve given her sunlight, fertilizer, support, idk what else to do! She just gets tall and skinny and that’s about it! All the fenestrated leaves are still from when I got it at the nursery. The bottom leaves are lifted a bit with some flexible wire and I just repotted her today so she’s a little flimsy, so keep that in mind. Someone please help me!

Ive had my yhai con under this grow light for quite some time now, but noticing this black spot growing on one of the leaves. Is it too close & getting burnt?

hi everyone! i’m super new to taking care of plants and i was just hoping for some advice about alphonso here! he’s had a lot of new shoots pop up recently but im concerned about some of these dry brown areas and that one of these new shoots had wilted. i water him regularly and let the soil dry out between waterings too. any advice 🙏🙏

I bought this plant from a garden centre at the beginning of January thinking it was a monstera… It was fully marketed as one, but I’ve since learned it’s actually a ‘monstera minima compact’, which isn’t actually a real monstera. It just kind of looks like one, so I guess that’s close enough for the label 🙃 It’s related to the monstera but botanically, it’s a different genus. I’m still figuring out all the different monstera types, so I probably should’ve clocked that it didn’t look quite like a monstera 😅 (I do also own a monstera adansonii)

Monstera Adansonii? Esqueleto?? Obliqua??? My girl Priscilla here was sold to me as an adansonii but she’s not really growing like others I’ve had in the past. She’s much far fenestrated and longer and her stems seem like they may be stronger cause she it’s like refuses to vine down. She is so perky and seems to only be interested in climbing. This app wants to identify her as an obliqua but I’m not convinced so I’m curious what others might think!

Okay so BAD NEWS. Mrs. Park got knocked over by one of the cats, and one of her shoots broke. Thankfully that shoot was connected to another. So I tied it back to the main shoot considering it wasn’t fully broken. I literally have zero idea what I’m doing so I’m here for help. 😬 but this plant was 30$!! 🥲

My Monstera has little holes on the edge of one of her leaves, not sure if they actually are holes and I’m just blind. But I’m concerned for my baby.. 😞

I’m looking for some guidance on moss poles for when I repot my Monstera deliciosa, I put this one in when I first got the plant 3 years ago and did it completely wrong. Now she’s growing in a sort of S shape, probably because of the lack of support. I have a new, sturdier, looser filled pole I want to put in when I repot next. From what I've read, the back of the plant should be resting on the moss pole for support, however the whole stem leans forward and to the right, so I’m not sure how I’d go about this. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
