New leaf…so I noticed when I mist Rasputia a few dark spots appear on the new leaf anyone know why?? Also when should I get a moss pole for her ?

Hadn’t checked on my biggest plant in a while as she’s tucked away in the spare room, but she’s finally pushing out a new leaf!! And a bunch of new aerial roots I’m so excited!! Ignore the chopped leaves they were white parts that turned brown lol

Brand new here, and honestly new to plants in general. I have two thai constellations as well as a monkey mask, im doing fully hydroponics with air stones to ensure the roots get plenty of air and add fertilizer to every water change. Ive had two of them in this set up for about 2 months with some new growth. The other is a newer addition within this last month. I would love to see other monsteras in a similar set up!!!

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could tell me, is this too much of a grab on the stem holding it to my stake? It's really starting to lean forward without that. The second picture is what's happening without tying it up. Thank you in advance 😊

Hi everyone!🌱🌿 This is my new Thai monstera, I’m in love with her <3 Some info on her - I got her from one of my local plant nurseries and I currently have her in the plastic pot she came in as I didn’t want to repot her so quickly and stress her out too much. The soil (seems) like it’s a chunky mix so I think she will be okay in there for the time being. I think once I eventually do a repot though, I will definitely add a lot more orchid bark as I’ve heard Thai’s are more prone to root rot and I want to prevent that! I haven’t watered her yet as the top of the soil still seems damp but i will reassess frequently and water once the soil dries out quite a bit more. I currently have a coco stake in there to support her back and I have a little humidifier nearby to keep her humid and have been monitoring for pests and using a pest prevention spray as a precaution. Will also occasionally mist her starting in a few days. I had one monstera prior to this one that unfortunately perished, I think due to repotting it too soon and stressing it out and possibly overwatering. I really want to make sure this one thrives, so any advice on keeping her happy would be very welcome 💚

This is my lovely monstera! So proud of this plant. Unfortunately, I will have to give her a little chop because one of the stalks is growing sideways instead of up.

Hello everyone!! I just received a huge monstera as a gift. (My first one) I am very worried about it and am not familiar with taking care of this plant yet. I’m worried I repotted it a little crooked and that it may need to be split into separate plants. Any advice?

I finally checked my air layering pods (2 of the 4 have amazing root systems and the other two failed utterly) and did a complete chop & prop of this huge monstera that is 27 years old. Now I have questions! 1. Is it okay to leave the moss that’s embedded in the root balls and eventually just plant them as is? It’s very tightly wound in there in some places. 2. Do I need to let all of them callous over before doing anything else? 3. Can I leave them all in water for a few weeks while I arrange a better pot system for them, and do I need to add anything to the water (I have Clonex and some root hormone, as well as just plain plant food)? 4. Best large pots with drainage (bonus points for Canada)?

Hi all! Long post warning!! I saved this Thai Constellation (Millie the Monstera) from my local Wegmans store back in January. It was the only one not near death, so I felt I needed to take it home 😭, but I have never owned a monstera before!! I get a lot of natural light in my living room, but I am unable to keep it as close to a window as I’d like, so I use a couple grow lights to give it proper lighting. There was one leaf already fenestrated when bought it. I gave her a repot, she’s been fertilized, she has a small pole to climb, and I wait till it’s pretty much completely dry before I water her. My concerns: She put out a new leaf a couple weeks ago, but she doesn’t have any fenestrations?? If you look close she wanted to put out 2 leaves but one broke during the process. Not sure what I did wrong there. Also the one leaf is very stiff and in a shape I haven’t seen in pictures of other monsteras. Is there not enough light? Should I be expecting fenestrations or is she still too young? Am I doing something wrong or do I just need to be patient? I keep her in a clear nursery pot, and roots are growing strong and plenty. Sorry for the long post, I just want Millie to thrive!! Any tips or advice for care would be so appreciated!!
