I just got this guy last weekend and he seems pretty healthy to me but not sure if these roots are supposed to be sticking out of the pot like this? I didn’t think I’d need to repot since I just got it but just not sure if this is okay / normal for a monstera?

My monsteras have been super happy lately. Wanted to share!
I got this monstera albo wet stick a while back. It’s only grown that one little leaf in the past couple of months. I checked today and it hasn’t really grown any roots other than the aerial roots that were already there. It’s healthy and there isn’t any root rot. I’ve kept the soil moist and mist it fairly regularly. Am I doing something wrong? This is my first time propagating a monstera at all. Also is there anyway I can encourage it to start producing variegated leaves? It was a light variegation wet stick, but I was hoping it would have a little variegation on that first leaf. 😞
so i know this pot is far too big for this monstera, it was once a healthy two plants that i moved into one pot that then didn’t take it too well and i was left with just the one stem! i’m going to be downsizing soon but now i have two leaves + this little one starting too, but the dark part has always been dark from it first starting.. i’m so new to being a plant parent, does anyone know what happened or if it’s normal sometimes? 🤣
Hello! I’m newbie to here and got two plants couple weeks ago and one of them is Monstera Green Galaxy “ Galaxy “ this monstera doesn’t create the holes Would love to get more advice and tips It is appears that Galaxy is sprouting a new one too Much appreciated!!!
Hi all, I adopted this beauty off of OfferUp and the previous owner had her all set up with this aerial root and this little jar. It’s been about 3 weeks since I’ve had it, it’s time to water again and I’m thinking of adding fertilizer to the top with some food. But I was wondering if you guys think I should bury the root now or get a bigger jar for this big baby root? Do we also think this is enough light? I do turn it once a week. Any advice would be so appreciated, even any advice not asked for. I’m OPEN!
My babies are growing up so fast y’all!! The Thai Con has a new leaf and the deliciosa is sprouting (hopefully) a new stem? My deliciosa has been propagated and potted. I hope that little growth means he’s happy 😭
New leaf with a bonus Cuban anole just chilling on it. (Ignore the brown tips on the old leaf, she was mad that I transplanted her, she’ll get over it)
the first fenestrated leaf on my monstera Thai constellation :))!!
so pretty 🩶
I think I need to chop and prop my monstera where it’s started to veer right, away from its moss pole. I’ve never done this though and I’m SO SO nervous about it. I’m thinking about getting 3 pieces propagating from cuts where I marked on this picture. Each piece would have at least one node/aerial root. Any advice? On chopping and/or propping? Thanks!!
Help! There’s a mushroom/fungus growing in my monstera!! What do I do? I read that it could actually be a good thing… Insights?
My first and only Monstera deleciosa that I’ve had for a few months FINALLY making a new leaf. 🤩 I got her from a well rooted prop and she nearly croaked when I potted her. I felt like the soil was too dense so I repotted a month and a half later, she had a lot more healthy roots so I did upsize as well and only two and a half weeks after repotting a new leaf started to grow in!!
Leaf started to turn yellow? is this a problem?
New leaf grew but the bottom of the leaf is cut or damaged? Do i just cut the leaf or will this grow and fix itself
Some new leaves coming in
Absolutely overjoyed that this new leaf is sprouting! ❤️🥰 was worried she would stop having babies since she got cold burn this winter and suffered a bit. What a trooper!!
I got this Albo for Mother’s Day. She has perked up a bunch since I got her and has had some new root growth. I asked in another group about her one leaf that is looking a little wonky and kind of warped looking. Someone suggested a repot saying the soil isn’t chunky enough. While I tend to agree I am SUPER hesitant to repot her as she clearly isn’t root bound, not really having complications other than the slightly weird leaf, and seems to be thriving. What say you all?
I tried to propagate these couple leaves from my monstera (not sure which variation of monstera it is). I cut them off about 1.5-2 weeks ago, and it doesn’t seem like anything is growing. Did i do something wrong or should i give them more time? (the one aerial root was already that long it has not grown)
i just bought this monstera. any tips or tricks to keep it healthy? is it looking healthy now?
