Hi all, I adopted this beauty off of OfferUp and the previous owner had her all set up with this aerial root and this little jar. It’s been about 3 weeks since I’ve had it, it’s time to water again and I’m thinking of adding fertilizer to the top with some food. But I was wondering if you guys think I should bury the root now or get a bigger jar for this big baby root? Do we also think this is enough light? I do turn it once a week. Any advice would be so appreciated, even any advice not asked for. I’m OPEN!

The root is thriving in the water and is 2x the size but looks hungry for soil! Hope to get some feedback, might post in another group too so I’ll let you know!

I wouldn’t fertilize it. I’d take it out of the jar and lay it on the top of the soil and see what the plant wants to do with it.

Understandable. But what I’ve learned on my journey with plants is that they’ll tell you what they like and don’t like. If they’re thriving with the jar, don’t touch it lol. But if they look like they’re suffering, make small adjustments. It’ll be easier for them to adapt.
