Ok I repotted my monstera only a month ago from an 8 inch to a 10inch pot. Check out my roots- should I repot even again?? I know they like to be snug but a huge root is coming out of the bottom.

Hello all, This is my first Monstera and I'm beyond excited! I'm hoping for some advice from some of the more experienced owners here. I'm planning my repot once spring hits and I'm looking for the best premade or DIY soil recipe. I've done a bunch of research and came up with the following: 5pt Orchid Bark 4pt Coco Coir 5pt Perlite 2pt Activated Charcoal 2pt Worm Castings I plan on potting it in a 12x12 clear pot so I can monitor root growth and plan to throw it on a moss pole. 1) Do you recommend that mix or something premade? 2) If using the above mix, should I use small, medium or large Orchid Bark? 3) Should I add something more to retain moisture so it doesn't have to be watered so frequently? 4) I vacation frequently and was going to throw a strip of microfiber towel in the center and run it out the top so I can have it self water while away for longer periods. Is this a terrible idea? I'd greatly appreciate any feedback!!

I already posted this on the propagation group, but realize it may be more fitting here. These are 5 separate monstera cuttings, ready to pot. I plan on using a mix of 2/3 cactus soil and 1/3 standard potting soil. Any comments on soil composition are welcome. I’m planning on potting all 5 in a single pot. Im looking for some advice on planting and staking that many cuttings. This is my first time propagating a monstera, and I have a mother plant that I found for free, so I’m always able to take more cuttings to experiment with. Thanks yall!!! 🌱🪴🌞

Please help! I’ve had this monstera cutting (water propagated from someone) for over 1.5 years and 1) only two leaves have ever grown since, 2) the leaves have never begun fenestration, and 3) two leaves have yellowed so badly I had to cut one off (and a giant aerial root grew in its place). This leaf is now yellow and brown. Should I chop it at the stem? I’ve been hoping for so long another leaf would grow but they haven’t. Any tips? I water it in the shower every 10 days or so. I have grow lights. I use liquid fertilizer every other watering.

Help! My monstera is yellowing so rapidly! Everything was going so great! Two weeks ago, however I re-potted the plant an swapped to using a real spaghnum moss pole. I live in Massachusetts, so currently amidwinter. I repotted it with a good mixture of orchid bark, cocoa coir, perlite, and monstera soil. Leading into this repotting, I was already scheduled to fertilize the plant, so I did that, an came back in town one week later and this is what it looks like. What is my best bet now? There’s drainage & the soil is slightly damp but I wouldn’t say I flooded it with too much water. What’s my best chance of survival now? Cutting these yellowing leaves off so it doesn’t spread to the entire plant? Someone please help!

This poor fellow needs a pot upgrade come spring and a much larger moss pole! Should the moss pole be on the opposite side? Also on a side note: aerial roots are so neat!! Thanks

Just got this Thai con from walmart. Was in what looked like some kind of sphagnum moss and I added a bonsai soil mix to help it. Upsized the pot about 1.5 in into terracotta, then watered. Is the soil gonna be too dense? It’s under a grow light, 1 East and 2 North facing windows. Please let me know if I made any mistakes and how I could fix them!

Was trimming the plants at work and tried to take enough off with this leaf to hopefully propagate it (in case the mother plant dies). Couldn’t find a clear node. Do I have any hope?

This plant was given to me and was very tall a sparse leaves, I think it grew this way because didn’t get enough light? Also not sure why lower leaves are wilted?
