Hey all! Iâve just got this huge monstera for free. Sheâs was going to be thrown out. She wasnât taken care of very well. Sheâs droopy and her leaves are yellowing. Sheâs got these aerial roots that and sticking out everywhere. Iâve already looked at her leaves and I cannot see any bugs. My next step would be to look at her roots?? I have no idea what to do to make this big girl happy again. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!
Hello all, new to this app and looking for some advice regarding Monsteraâs. I have a baby monstera deliciosa in the bathroom which appears to be doing well- new leaves unfurling and good growth. Recently got the Albo variegated too. As this one is located in my hallway with only 2 panels of vertical glass on my front door (west facing) for light, I added a grow light today as the plant is around 6ft from the door windows. Will this help get the light it needs better? For both plants, is following the default care instructions from Planta a good idea, or should I create a custom one (for just the Alba or both?) Iâm new to these types of plants, so any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Will my plant be ok? Ive had Barbra for a few months now and she was doing really well, but a few of her leaves were turning brown and my boyfriendâs mom decided to cut all the leaves off. Will this kill Barbra or will she be ok, i know plants need their leaves for photosynthesis and she has a sprout but thats all now. (Sorry for the bad picture I found her like this late at night)
I finally got my hands on some monstera albos! For the start of my birthday week my husband went with me to pick up these three clippings. It ended up being a 3 hour round trip but everyone charges $65-$150 (which is crazy!) for one leaf and I was able to get three at $40 each. I am trying aquarium rock, just water, clay balls and chunky soil as ways of growing roots and new leaves. What is your go to way to grow your plants?
This leaf that just unfurled đ
This is my first monstera. Does anyone know what these are growing and do they look healthy?
Hi all! I just got my first monstera last weekend. I noticed about two days ago that some of the leaves started yellowing on the corners, and Iâm not sure what factor is causing this? I have watered it once since bringing it home since itâs only been a week. Just looking come help on what the need of the plant may be? Thank you!
Anyone know why my monstara standleyana keeps doing this? It finally has 2 new leaves on 2 of the new stems but it's been months since it's given me a new leaf
I watered my Monstera Adansonii and withing 2 hours the leaves started to yellow. How do I come back from this?!
I just wanted to share some of her progress :) I grabbed her from my aunts in December after her passing and she has done so well! She has five new leaves coming in the past two weeks đ„Čđ«¶đ»
Found this bb at Home Depot today! đ€© Donât worry! As soon as we got home she got repotted, soil change and support pole⊠cause she was SOAKED and looking like the leaning tower of Pisa đ«
So this is my monster I got a year ago and I have been told the the bottom leaf and the 4th leaf need to come off due to a fungus. So that leave me with 4 leaves and I'm just wondering if I should take off the top part and try to propagate it or just leave it alone after I treat it and let new leaves fill it out. I've never had one of these plants before so I'm not sure what to do. Also I'm not sure what type it is or what the best way to propagate it is. Thanks for any assistance with this.
Monstera Esqueleto. This was one of my favorite plants in 2020. This plant gives me the most headaches. Damaged leaves non stop. This mother plant Iâve cut four times. All cuttings no issues. Grown into beauties. I moved it to a corner like time out. I gave up. Last week I went to water it and the new leaf was looking promising. Today it has hardened and itâs looking good. Last leaf 12in, new leaf 16in. I guess it didnât like the time out in the corner⊠lol
Hey! Iâm new to this app so thank you all for having me, Iâve had this Albo for over a year now since buying from fb marketplace. It came as just the cutting of the large leaf and since growing I repotted it. The growth has become really leggy and the leaves have been getting smaller and smaller I really wanted this to produce large leaves like the one that came from the sellers plant however as things got in the way Iâve not had time to pay attention to caring for it. I was thinking of repotting into a smaller pot with fresh soil , and cutting off the top bit of growth to give it a fresh start to produce healthier leaves. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. Should I just propagate and start all over?
Hey yâall, my thai monsteraâs been doing great but Iâm wondering if I need to be worried about how frequently Iâm watering him. Recently heâs been needing water about every 4-6 days, more on the every 4 days side now (using my finger to get 1-1.5in into the soil to check). The appâs schedule has been acting a fool lately, telling me daily or every other day which Iâve been snoozing. Heâs only been in his current 6in planter for 5months and heâs pumped out 4 leaves and several large aerial roots in that time, so he doesnât seem to be root bound, or at least not upset about it. I havenât checked his roots yet because I didnât want to disturb him while he worked on his new leaf, seen in the picture. Watering every 4 days just seems like a lotâŠ?
Whatâs a good watering cycle for a Monstera Adansonii?
My Deliciosa has been growing like crazy! I noticed this node and it looks like a great spot to propagate. Never propagated monstera before, any suggestions on how to go about? (Water vs soil vs moss mix?) Thanks!
A Valentineâs Day present last year. We pulled this baby apart (gently) and have 5 different plants around our home plus an additional 4 at a friends house that are healthy and thriving! Seeing the progress is soooo satisfying
Cutting this guy and see if I can propagate it.
