Hey all! I’ve just got this huge monstera for free. She’s was going to be thrown out. She wasn’t taken care of very well. She’s droopy and her leaves are yellowing. She’s got these aerial roots that and sticking out everywhere. I’ve already looked at her leaves and I cannot see any bugs. My next step would be to look at her roots?? I have no idea what to do to make this big girl happy again. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

She looks Overall healthy! You can buy moss poles to help gently tie the aerial roots on so they don't fly away. Her leaves might have yellowed from too much sun or water. I recommend bottom watering every 10 days or 2 weeks. If you are worried about root rot, I recommend perlite and grainy small rocks for space to breath. But Overall, you have a very healthy and happy monstera!

I’m glad she’s in good shape. I think she grew tall because she didn’t get enough light. Most of the new leaves have almost no fenestrations. Also the lady put a moss pole but never watered it, should I get a new one?

Go ahead and prune off the brown spots, they will never improve and draw energy out from new leaves. She’s a keeper, treat her well

Would it be bad to also cut some of the aerial roots? Half of them are broken.

Should be fine, but keep them if you are making propagations from this plant. They are also handy to keep if root rot occurs, then you have something ready to step up as replacements
