This us a daughter plant to my mom plant
hey yâall !! im not too experienced w using moss poles for plants so iâm in need of some advice. i have this monstera that is just a tad bit taller than the moss pole and the aerial roots are holding on to it for dear life. what should i do now that the plant is getting too tall??? any help/tips would be appreciated :)
It was so difficult to take a picture ahaha but any ideas what that lil green nib is right at the base?? by where the soil is?? iâve not noticed it before and am just wondering đ„°
So this fellow was given to me by a friend who had been keeping him in water. I potted him up, and he seemed to be doing fine and throwing up new leaves. Well today, I took the pot out of the planter, and the roots are running wild. I cringed putting the pot back in the planter because I heard the roots crunch đ Anyone have any suggestions? Itâs definitely not big enough to need a new pot yet. Iâm worried theyâll rot with no air flow :/
Can I keep my monstera in water indefinitely? The only pot I have big enough for this is big enough for my cat to get into. and she gets INTO it. It seems to be doing fine in the water, those are new leaves.
I just repotted this guy because it was so unbalanced, it kept falling over. When I opened it up, it was pretty root-bound too. I gave it a moss pole and tried to tie it up a bunch so it will stand up more, but some of the leaves are just funky/floppy and I donât know what to do. Any advice? Will it fix itself after a while with the pole?
i recently got this Monstera Adansonii, i was wondering if i should repot it? there is a new leaf on top which seems to be curling downwards. Also, is the pot next to the monstera an appropriate size to upgrade to? itâs the smallest size i could find in my local garden shop 𫶠any help appreciated, as well as any general tips on monstera Adansonii care will also be well received â€ïž
Had my monstera for a while now and she just wasnât producing leaves, but now she seems happy!
my adansonii is so happy, she grew this much all within 2 months đąđ±
Hi everyone! So I am not by any means a plant person. I am absolutely clueless, but a few months ago I found where someone in my apartment building had trimmed their plant (which Iâm pretty sure is a monstera? Thatâs what the plant ID said at least) and tossed the trimmings by the dumpster, so now I have kids! I made the cuttings smaller and then placed them in water to propagate them, and I think itâs now time to repot them but Iâm so scared theyâre gonna die lol any recommendations on how to start the process? Also please donât come for me for the state of the little jars đ Iâm trying my best but like I said Iâm not good with plants which is why Iâm here. I also rescued a fiddle leaf from the same dumpster and somehow kept it alive so I figured Iâm starting my plant parent era.
My monstera has been thriving so I though I would splurge and get a baby MTC. Can I see pics of yours and maybe get some tips on how to keep her thriving? They will waive under my black magic grow light, near my humidifier. These are just 2 of my MANY plants đ
hey guys!! i'm thinking about potting these three vases (5 cuttings total) into one pot with a moss pole (gonna take my pothos' 18" pole or just buya new one, not sure yet) can anybody recommend what size pot i should buy so they all fit? I know I'll need to go buy some tropical soil and mix it with my perlite, but want to do everything right so it grows big and healthy. any advice for moving them from water would be greatly appreciated :)) (i included some notes about measurements in inches)
Itâs the size and holes đłïž for me đ«
Hi!! My monstera has been having lots of water on the ends of her leaves. I know they like a little higher humidity but the ends of the leaves where the water has been gathering are turning lighter and curling down a little.. Iâve only misted her once and wiped down her leaves with a wet paper towel - it was not enough water to be dripping for days though. Should I be worried? Or is this normal?
I have taken cuttings off this beast that Iâm gonna grow with a support this time, sheâs starting to get out of hand but sheâs so beautiful!
Would you chop off the smaller bottom leaves? The new leaf itâs pushing out seems pretty small. I just repotted recently, so Iâm wondering if I should chop the lower non-fenestrated leaves to help with new growth. Tia!
Proud of my monstera đ„Č I want to propagate it, but Iâm intimidated for some reason! Need advice / plant pep talk đ
Happy Halloween, everyone! (Found the skull at Jo-Anneâs and threw the nursery pot inside)
Not a big monstera, but this puppy outgrew his old pot and I thought why not let it climb! Excited for this to flourish
is it normal for these dark spots to be on the unfurling leaves and petiole?
