hey everyone! this is my first monstera and i would like to know everyone's tips and tricks to big leaves and a fuller plant
Hi everyone, I just picked up this monstera at IKEA, it was the last one remaining and had some leaf damage I could work with. Unfortunately I had to leave it in a hot car for about an hour while I went into another store. I feel so bad now her leaves look like this. What can I do to fix it? Iâve never had a monstera before and I have so idea how to help it recover from this.
My newest leaf (and now my biggest leaf in the back) barely has any fenestrations but the others do? I havenât moved it; have been fertilizing it once a month with a good fertilizer, water it once itâs 3/4 dry. I literally take care of her more than myself and have had good progress. But this new leaf is making me question my plant parenting skills because I thought the bigger it gets, the more fenestrations itâll get. Help đ
WORSE THAN I IMAGINED! Theyâre healthy, but so tightly wrapped I donât know what to do, any monstera experts have any root knowledge for me?!!
My Swiss vine monstera is growing so much! I am very happy with all the new leaves coming in but it is starting to grow longer and lean out of the pot. Would a moss pole help with this or should I use something to support it on the outside of the pot (something to rest the âbranchâ on).
Hi maniacs!âïžMy monsteraâs leaves are getting so big, so proud of him đ„Čđ„č. There is also a new leaf unfolding too!
My friend gave me some cuttings of her monstera. I just planted them after they'd been in water. One lead is turning yellow. Help?! I have never had one and don't want to loose it
just got her from the garden centre is she healthy??
sheâs gotten so big in a yearâš
Any clue what this is it came in the pot I bought I'd like to save it
I rescued this monstera from a local Loweâs. Iâve have it for a little over a month now. Itâs sprouted 4 leaves in less than 3 weeks! but thereâs also been some mishaps - several leaves had brown spots so I trimmed those off. This one leaf didnât seem to have it so bad so I left it. Thereâs one new lead that doesnât look finished and has brown ends. What could be happening? Thank you! Any help is appreciated.
Hey! Just rescued this Monstera from a dusty greenhouse nursery, plants did not seem cared fully cared for- do these guys like bigger pots? I noticed this one strong lil root guy sticking out and I donât wanna snap him by tucking him into the pot! Whatâs the best potting medium for Monstera in your guysâs opinions as Iâm guessing heâs gonna need to be upgraded in size soon!
I bought this beautiful lady the other day!! I havenât repotted her yet. I have tropical potting soil coming and I got a bigger pot. The one itâs sitting in I thought wasnât big enough so I got one a couple inches bigger. I also have a grow light on the way to help. I have it close to an east facing window but I have a screened in porch attached that covers it from sunlight. Hopefully the grow light will help. đđ Iâve been told these can be tough plants so any tips are much appreciated and welcomed! â€ïž
What could my monstera be missing that itâs not producing fenestrated leaves? Thanks đ
Hi Monstera Maniacs! Just wanted to post about the importance of selecting the proper pot for your plant! I used to have my monstera standleyana in a clay pot that made it dry out too quickly & I could never keep up with watering! The plant would always droop and sometimes drop a leaf. Now, I have it in a plastic pot with drainage holes & just look at the progress from May 21st to July 1st! If a plant isnât loving life in its pot, consider making a switch & you might see major improvements!
Whatâs wrong with my Monstera? My dear monstera Goldberryâs leaves are curling/wilting and Iâm not sure why. Itâs not from under or over watering nor is it root rot. Any ideas? Thanks!
Why is this happening? Itâs in direct/indirect light. Thanks guys!!
Just watered and misted đ„° my darling Monstera Peru
Why does my plant have yellow and brown
just got what i believe is a mini monstera from an old teacher of mine!! very excited because i have yet to successfully grow a plant that is not a succulent :) if anyone has any tips or suggestions about it i would love to hear. i placed a skewer in the pot (yay low-budget plant care!) to keep it uprightâshould i be worried about root damage? are there better alternatives to this? anyways, iâm so excited to join this community!! thanks in advance!
