I have two monsteras that are quite spindly and not doing well. I’ve moved them into a location with more light and have ordered two bendable moss poles since the straight ones didn’t help. Is this too spindly to save?

Very concerned for my big monstera. I recently took it to a nursery to get repotted because i knew it was seriously root bound. It went through a very rough repot (took 5 people to get it out of the old pot!) but the roots looked healthy. It’s now in a 10” pot (before it was in an 8”) with a moss pole. Unfortunately it’s been losing old leaves like crazy (they have been turning yellow) which I know isn’t uncommon but it’s been 5 leaves within a matter of two weeks since being repotted. I wouldn’t be too concerned but its newer healthier leaves are now turning yellow. I watered and fertilizered it after i repotted it two weeks ago and then just watered it again today because the soil was looking dry and the leaves were curling. Now I’m starting to think I should’ve held off watering it after its repot. Any advice would be appreciated! I just can’t figure out what’s wrong with it or if it just stressed from being repotted. I don’t want it to lose any more leaves :(

Not to ruin anyone’s budgeting for the month lol, but Orange Lake Nursery just dropped several WYSIWYG Thai Cons for $45 and baby mints for $100 😅 Not sponsored lol, I just know we have a lot of deal hunters and Orange Lake fans in our midsts

One year of growth for my swiss cheese monstera ☺️ Purchased him while I was in Santa Cruz, CA. Took him on the plane ride home to the east coast.

First time monstera owner here🪴💚and I’m having an issue😭just bought it yesterday from Lowe’s ok I know it’s not the best place to buy plants. But he was calling my name!! I got home and put it into planta and I took the planter out of the pot it came in to make sure things were good and the pot was FILLED with water like half way filled. And this pot is huge. And I was able to squeeze the planter and water was FLOWING out of the bottom like a waterfall. Is this plant gonna be a goner because of it sitting in this water and the soil being soaked?? I don’t want it to die and I don’t know how to save him😭any advice is greatly appreciated!!!

I cut a piece of my monstera to prop for my little sister. It started 1 growth point a while ago and is working on it’s second leaf from that point, but when I watered, I noticed 2 more growth point down at the bottom!! 😍 I’m not sure if that’s normal, I’m just super happy about it.

if my monster doesn’t have any aerial roots, what’s the best way to encourage those growing? he has lots of light and is at least a couple years old

Anyone know what this appendage is on my monstera deliciosa? Internet is saying it’s a new elbow but I’m not entirely sure that’s right. (Second photo of plant for reference)

Hi all! Thought I’d share something new and weird that I dealt with lately…. I’ve been rooting a monstera esqueleto cutting for several months now in water and stratum, and the new growth on it was this long vine that kept growing and growing but was never producing any leaves. I kept it forever thinking “well maybe it’ll start producing leaves eventually” but it got SO long that I finally thought this will be such a weird looking plant when I pot it…I have to do something. So I started doing some research, and turns out that sometimes plants that have been used for propagating a lot or been damaged in other ways can send out these “suckers” or “runners,” which are the plant’s attempt to grow with their hormones all out of whack. The best advice I could find was to just cut off the sucker at the node where it starts, and encourage new growth from that node that will have the genetics to produce leaves correctly. Apparently some species of monstera are susceptible to this (especially adansonii, which esqueleto is related to, and monstera peru), and individual plants can be more prone to producing them than others. Anyway, I’ve never dealt with this before, especially while rooting a cutting, so thought I’d share the weirdness!

Advice please, I transplanted my Monstera from the pot it was in for about 18 months. Since then (about a month) it has just been very wilted and slightly crispy on some of the leaves. I haven’t watered it in about 6 days, the soil is well drained and there are holes at the bottom. Thanks!

Thinking about getting a Thai Con. and wondering: are they harder to look after than normal monstera deliciosa? Thanks x

Got this big baby at Trader Joe’s for $20 bucks! She has some bad travel damage and perhaps a tiny bit of fungus… plus she is SUPER root bound! She is a large plant though, I don’t have any experience in supporting her. She is long tall and lanky, plus fragile! Not a great combo Any help is greatly appreciated😊😊 ( sorry about the mess in the the background )

Hi, I'm asking for my in-laws, she has this Monstera and it does not look good. I think that it is overwatered but I'm not sure. It doesn't have a drainage holes as she pot it straight in the decorative pot but she put some rocks on the bottom of the soil. What will be the remedy for this plant? If we repot it into a plastic - growing pot and put fresh soil, do we cut off all the bad leaves or leave it as is? Thanks in advance!

So I was grocery shopping and couldn’t leave this one at the store, so I’m branching out with my first Monstera…Say Hello to Monkey Mask, Adanson’s Monstera, Swiss Cheese. Here’s hoping I can keep it happy!!

I got this gorgeous monstera cutting from a prop swap yesterday but the one leaf is curling a bit. I put her in about 1/3 bark and 2/3 regular indoor potting soil. I have her next to north and west facing windows and the lamp next to her has a grow light bulb in it. I’ve never owned a large monstera before so Im not sure if the leaf curling is normal or if I should be worried. Anyone know?!
