I just got this Monstera Siltepecana Sunday. This is my first monstera of any kind. Any advice on how to take care of it?
A colleague of mine donated this beautiful monstera to me! I’ve left her to rest for a few days since moving her to a new place is already a lot, today I’m going to make a bamboo fan trellis and a sphagnum moss pole… any suggestions in terms of how to care for her? She’s used to natural light but sadly my living room window is NE (compass tells me so😅) so I’ll be using a growing light instead.. She seems super heathy and happy she just needs some support!
Hello ! Need some advice on my Monstera Albo. I recently went on holiday for about 9 days , but before I left I did the following for my plant. - left an automatic grow light to turn on for at least 8 hours a day - watered with normal tap water ( I have attached the dates where I’ve watered her) But when I came back, some of the white variegation have gone brown! Please can I have some advice on why this is happening? And how to prevent? - I have started to mist the leaves every other day and make sure to wipe any dust. - I always have a grow light that faces her for 8 hours a day, since my room doesn’t get a lot of light. The grow light is on 2nd dimmest setting as I didn’t want to burn her. - noticed recently that 2 of the leaves are curling slightly? Not sure if it’s my imagination Possible reasons why this is happening? 1. It has gotten a lot colder recently 2. I have never fertilised , —- I have Baby Bio Organic houseplant food , does that work? 3. Never been repotted, as I only purchased in July of this year Really appreciate any advice and tips! Thank you!
new thai con!! third addition to my monstera family <3
Got my first monstera albo 🪴✨
My new leaf unraveled! This is so exciting for me bc I’ve never successfully had a green thumb till this year! 💪🏻 🪴
Hello! I got this beauty for my birthday and I need some help identifying her, can you help me?
Thai constellation I found at a local nursery for $40 on sale 🥹 she’s already shooting off a new leaf!
Brand new leaf unfurled this weekend🌱
Assuming this is just from the sun, right? :(
Repotted the these just a week ago. But since then it’s not doing great. New leaves are browning. Not sure if I hurt them when repotting. Leaves are droopy. The stems are not strong. Have to use lots of strips to tie them to stand up. You can see the smaller ones on the bottom how bent they are. What might cause this? I have added grow light. Not sure if this is a root rot problem. If so, will repotting within a couple weeks ok for it?
Hey guys. I’m wondering if these are leaves I should trim off. I have two baby monsteras and they both have a leaf that looks like this.
My first propagation through a rooted pup and it has already produced a new leaf(top right leaf).
This is the first monstera I have ever had and I started it from a cutting, I’m not really sure what to do with the airial roots that are forming and I am not sure how I should go about adding more support to the plant in general to help it grow upwards more. Any help would be great! 😊🪴
Bought this plant a while ago and put her in my room. Realizing that this was too dark of a place for her and seeing some brown spots, I moved her to our sun room. I asked for advice on Planta but the inky response I got was, “the browsing of the leaves happen after time” I don’t think this is true because of the brand new leaf that’s coming in. It’s browning too! Can someone please help me? I can’t lose her! I love her too much! TIA and have a great day! ☀️
I did it 😍
My biggest boy. FYI it got like this due to being exposed to direct full sun.
Advice needed… Some background… As you can see monstera is out of control. I love him so much and have been doing my research on replanting him. However, my anxiety to start cutting him runs extremely high. I know it needs done. He is trailing the floor. My biggest fear is he will die. I have had him for a couple of years now and never knew he was a climber. This is why he looks this way. He is doing so good. Beautiful leaves, solid base, etc. Should I mess with him? Should I completely cut him up and start over? I also need advice on the whole moss pole, stake option. Which is better? Please help with advice. (The pool noodle is cushioning the stem as it was starting to dig itself into the rim of the pot).
Turned my monstera around for the first time, it’s been growing towards the window for months. It looks so much bigger!
