I still have my monstera prop in water (itâs grown a new leaf since I got it). As you can see the roots have really taken off in the last bit but Iâm scared to transfer it to soil. Any tips on making the transition smooth? Should I use a semi-hydro medium rather than soil? Also what do you guys use for fertilizer? Any tips/advice is appreciated.

Good day! As some may know my Thai Con has severe root rot. I got it late June for $90 đ dose anyone know of some cheaper places, you know as a back up plan. đ
PLEASEEEEE tell me this is yellowing just bc itâs old đ Iâve had this for about 2 months (itâs an albo)
I FINALLY FOUND ONE brb crying đ
Decapitated my monstera about a month ago. Roots are developing & it even pushed out a new leaf!
Anyone know why sheâs been looking like this??? Sheâs not near a heater is by a window, so semi shade/semi sunlight? I mist her leaves daily her aerial roots are growing non stop (quickest itâs ever grown), long time ago she was part of a massive monstera (donated) but I had to cut her down because the poor bubba was infested with all sorts of bugs/fungus. Any help to her strive would be much appreciated!âșïžâșïžâșïž
One of my young monsteras has a very slight green pattern⊠could this be green-on-green variegation? Plant looks quite healthy so I donât think itâs dying? My other young ones are completely green on all leaves but this plant is a bit different 1st photo is the new leaf, 2nd is the oldest leaf Please let me know if im just crazy, or if this could be a possibility
When watering my momstera, when should I rewater her? I keep seeing posts that the app tends to overwater. Ive heard I need to let her dry out, and I usually let the top 1-2 inches of soil dry out but should I be waiting until the bottom of the planter is more dry?
My monstera esqueleto has been putting out new leaves with more fenestrations each time since it rooted, except this most recent leaf is showing odd damage. I was admittedly slow getting it onto a pole, and the leaf had already started to form before I repotted it. Any idea what this is? (The damage on the bottom leaf is how the cutting arrived)
Would you repot this monstera again if it was treated for root rot and repotted 3 weeks ago? Saw one small brown/black tip on a stem that I pulled out the other day. Looked like it had no roots attached. Is it perhaps just one stem that didnât regrow roots after the last repotting or a sign that root rot is back? I have barely watered at all since the repot and have it by a SW facing window. Maybe I just missed some rot the first time around?
Hey! I need some help on my Monstera. I think Iâve had her for about 3 years now and Iâve never repotted her. By the looks of things, she really needs it đ„Č can I do it now? (Based in the UK) Iâve heard itâs best to wait until spring/summer but I donât really want to wait that long! Whatâs the best soil to use? Also, how high up do i put the soil? TIA đđżđ±
PLEASE HELP!!! I donât know whatâs happening to my Thai con it had root rot so I gave it chunky soil, then I noticed itâs been sitting in a pool of water for weeks and I donât know what to do!đđđđđ(I moved it for the photo it gets more light)
New to monsteras. What do I do to help this?
The aerial root is about 6ft long đđ anyways which pot for this root bound guy? The 1 inch diameter bigger orchid pot or the 5 inch bigger grey square pot. I feel like with how itâs growing Iâd need to repot again soon if I go smaller and the bigger one is considerably bigger than Iâd normally feel comfortable with, but itâs in very free draining soil. I could just leave it but I think the root bound-ness is genuinely slowing growth down now.
When should I put this guy in dirt? Itâs been in water for at least 3 weeks now. This is my first time propagating a monstera so any tips, tricks, or advice would be greatly appreciated!
I finally did it. Iâve been waiting for the universe to choose me đ first time monstera owner. Iâm familiar with plants but is there anything I should keep in mind for this baby?
Typically keep this guy inside but have had him outside lately to dry to dry him out. Wondering if these leaves are signaling too much water? Thanks in advance for any advice/expertise!
So I moved my Thai con to Molly Airod mix and it lost two leafs and Iâm concerned help!
Are these tiny white bugs in the soil harmless to my monstera? thereâs none in the leaves but they are quite disturbing⊠if theyâre soil mites theyâre apparently beneficial but I canât tell if thatâs what they are. Iâll be repotting soon anyway but thereâs literally hundreds of these bugs in the soil so I just hope its okay!
So I did it⊠I separated the nursery monstera and got 11 fully rooted independent sections⊠Iâm am so nervous that I repotted them incorrectly. Should they have two per pot? I ran out of nursery pots, so the two 6â pots have three babies in them for now. Advice on moving forward?? As always, I appreciate any and all advice for you lovely plant people :)
