Just got a cutting gift of Monstera Mini. Thinking about purchasing chunky perlite and put it into perlite with water at the bottom. I don’t like dust and small particles of perlite everywhere in the house, haha, so I’ve found a big 1-2 cm (half inch) option. Will it also work or too big? Any suggestions for perlite+water propagating?

Hi, I’m new here and was gifted this Thai Constellation a couple weeks ago. Is my grow light burning the leaves? Thanks for your help!

I just found this monstera at the grocery store! I am so excited I can barely write this but I cannot nail down exactly which kind it is!! Can you guys help me? Pinnatipartita? I never stumbled across one of these at any of the 4 stores available in my town or the surrounding areas so I had to buy her? Her leaves look like a three fingered claw!

So I got this Monstera from Trader Joe’s and just realized how bad the conditions were. There are brown spots on the bottom of the leaves and bugs all in the soil. This was the best one there was, most of the others were in worse condition. I need advice on how to get rid of the brown dots (I’m guessing maybe root rot or damage to the roots from the bugs, but it could be a pest or watering problem or sunlight problem). HELP! I need to rescue this plant! Would not recommend getting plants from Trader Joe’s. She’s also got a baby :3

Just repotted my year old monstera for the first time. It had really overgrown the previous pot, I had a ton of roots out the bottom. Really excited to see how she does with more room and better support.

Hi guys!! Any recommendations for new potting soil for my monstera ?? I have to repot with new soil because my current soil has mold growing on top and I can tell it’s not gonna survive! Any tips and tricks please? I moved into a new place and I feel like it hasn’t been thriving here

Cheesy fell over so we’ve put in a new stick, topped the soil up a bit and strapped him up a bit more 😊 Hopefully he’ll be happy!

My Monstera deliciosa has been doing amazing! It just grew its first leaf with fenestrations! But I’ve noticed some of the older leaves are a bit discolored! The leaf even feels different! No matter how I clean them they still look this way!

Hii everyone, this is my Monstera named Micheal that I’ve had since February, he finally grown some roots thanks to my pothos (this pic is a few days old, roots are a lot longer now) He’s definitely ready to be potted so what is the best way to transfer him into soil with the least amount of shock and how can i help promote leaf growth?

Ok so on the bright side it looks like I'm getting new roots on my albo cutting. However, does it look like the ends of the cutting are rotting? And if so how do I treat?

So... I am broke, I have an unruly adopted monstera that needs support, and I have a fab 3d-printed moss pole and a few bricks of coco coir. What I do not have, dear friends, is moss. I can wait like... 6 weeks, maybe 2 months, to be able to scrape together $20 for sphagnum moss, or I can fill the pole with coco coir and like... Stuff moss into it when I can afford some. Thoughts?

What’s going on with my Peru?? I have the adansonii and she’s never done this. This one started these mysterious yellow spots a few days after bringing her home. She has a grow light above her and is pest free. Soil is freshly watered and drained through. She is not overwatered. Please help! This is a dream plant of mine!

Hi everyone, This is my first Monstera plant. I repotted him when I brought him home cause I wanted him in a drainage pot. I gave him a little bit of water but I didn’t think it was too much. The soil seems very dry now, it was wetter when a few leaves started to turn yellow a couple days ago. Then I thought maybe it wasn’t getting enough light because it is mounted on a wall to a south facing window. I put it in the window today to get more sun and it looks like more might be turning yellow. Do you think I overwatered it, it is getting enough sun next to the window, and/or it’s stressed from repotting? Please help!!

Hi! I have a monstera plant on my windowsill that’s been doing great for about 9 months to a year now since it only had baby leaves; it now has a few fenestrations!! But my only concern is that the leaves seem to be flat to the stems? Like they bend completely down and not up.. is this a problem? Does anyone know how to get them to open up more instead of being so flat? Pictures to show:) Tia P.s. I’m aware she needs repotting, I’m gunna get round to it very soon!
