My monstera deliciosa looks so much better! She’s been putting out new leaves and they’re 2 or 3 times the size of my hand! When I got her, she had pest spots and was in REALLY bad shape. Now, she’s giving me new leaves every month (3 new ones on the way, 4 new leaves already unfurled)! :3
Hey guys! I’m new to the whole plant thing but I’ve been doing it for about five months now. I have a big Thai constellation. Monstera and I accidentally just ripped one of the big healthy leaves off while I was vacuuming. Any advice on what I do with the leaf or the stem? I’m just kicking myself in the ass right now because I feel so stupid! Thank you! Help!!!
Who needs a moss pole when you have a bunch of brass wire? This isy oldest monstera and it's popping new leaves like nobody's business. We get along famously, and is does have strange light preferences: right around the corner from the window. It's how it was at all of my houses and it begins to turn yellow if it has it any other way. Luckily this house has the perfect spot for it and I've had 3 leaves unroll at the same time in the past week!!
This is a top cut from a monstera white tiger. Do anybody know how to root this baby. She has 4 leafs to start. But it keep getting root rot. It’s been in soil and Leca. These are the most difficult cutting to root. I cut the rot off. And I do t have much left to get a plant out of it. Please help
Hello, I just wanted to share my new Monstera 'Maya' that I got from Trader Joe's for 12.99. I'm so excited to get her acclimated to the family!
It’s finally happening!! Please tells me those 2 little holes are what I think they are! I’ve only had the plant for about 4 months. Ringo (the plants name) is growing so well I’m extremely proud! There is a little empty spot.. the leafs there broke off when I moved oopsie.
So about a year ago my poor monstera got sunburned and I potted it and it stayed the same for a while but then it grew a new leaf. Should I cut off the burned leaf now or wait till the new leaf is a little bit older and more stable. I would love the help thank you. :)
this leaf was perfectly fine yesterday. i’ve been waiting for two weeks now for it to unfold, what happened????? there’s no chunks of it on the table or floor anywhere. how could chunks be missing like this? and what are the black spots from? what should i do with it now?
Hey guys! Does anyone know why this new leaf on my deliciosa has brown spots? I literally just checked it this morning and it was fine, clear with no brown spots. But this evening I noticed it has these brown spots, they don’t come off or rub off when I run my fingers on them. I hope it doesn’t damage the baby leaf before it has a chance to unfurl.
I got this lovely albo top cutting around June last year. At the time it was two leaves. I gave it ages to grow luscious roots and planted it and then waited and waited and waited. It finally grew its first (beautifully variegated) new leaf late November, and I hoped that was the start of it coming to life but there’s no sign of any more leaves coming. It seems very healthy, but even now that it’s spring and my other non-variegated monsteras are shooting out leaves like nobody’s business, there’s nothing new on this one. It’s my first propagated monstera, do I just need to continue patiently waiting or does it need something different?
Hello! Can someone help me understand which part of my plant is the back and front? I purchased this plant over a month ago and wanted it to get acclimated to its new home. I'm ready now to repot and bought a coir moss pole from Amazon. I'm a new plant owner so any suggestions you could give would be great. I think I figured out the right kind of soil based on YouTube videos. Just not sure about the support, if she needs the pole, and where to put it. Goals are for a full , beautiful, and vibrant plant! Does it need support? If so, where to put the pole? Thanks so much!!
What the hell are these yellow sprouts (For context I put a plaster over this root when it was damaged because idk. Just peeled off the plaster and saw this)
Finally brought home Big Mama!! This Monstera deliciosa is an absolute unit. Giant fenestrated leaves, thick stems, and jungle energy all day. Found her locally and couldn’t say no. She’s settling in for now, but definitely the new star of the space.
I was gifted this monstera but I am not great with plants. It’s beautiful & I want to keep it alive so please help me out. Any advice is greatly appreciated - I have no idea what I’m doing lol
My monstera is not happy and hasn’t been for a while. (it is not usually in this location i just put it there today because im rearranging my room). for some background it was originally in my very dark living room and was doing ok for a while but then started drooping and taking up way too much space so i took it to my room where i get sun. the leaves never went back upright and started yellowing and now they’re brown and dry. should i cut the brown ones off? i cant tell if its over or under watered. (sorry for bad pics lol)
Just got back from vacation and found my monstera adansonii looking very very sad. It was hotter than normal while I was away so the humidity wasn’t at a great level. 😞 Is there anything I can do to save her? Some, but not all of the yellow leaves are also crispy to the touch. I’ve included a beautiful before and depressed after pics. 😭
This Adansonii is a monster! Every week for the last two months it’s sprouts 1-2 new leaves! It’s crazy!!
Does anyone care for their monstera with a UV bulb? I’ve got a 36W ppf 65.6 umol/s LED plant bulb that I have on over it for roughly 8-10 hours a day. Am I doing anything right or wrong? I’m tryna keep this thing alive in a room without sunlight.
Hello everyone! I have recently gotten back into my plant addiction grind and have been wanting the challenge and satisfaction of growing my monsteras and my new Thai constellation. I was hoping anyone and everyone could give me tips on the following: - best soil for my Thai and all my monsteras? - is it better to buy or make my own soil? - what are the best pots for my monstera? Should I use ceramic with drainage or get clear pots with heavy draining and get a decorative pot? - what is the best plant fertilizer? - HOW do I get my monsteras to have BEAUTIFUL and full green leaves with lots of character? - how should I go about lighting? (I live in a very small apt with 2 methods of lighting aka my bedroom window and my patio) I know this is a lot and overwhelming, but I love my plants and am happy I’ve gotten back into this hobby; I really want to start prioritizing my foliage farm! Thank you all <3
