My monstera’s vine broke off!! It was not in good shape. It is 4 years old with no fenestrations. Will it grow back but more healthy?

I’ve just joined this group to share my monstera energy with besides my friends/family who are less than enthusiastic 😆. I’m caring for a 2 year old Thai Con. A week ago we switched her from a large planter w coco pole to a smaller pot w a moss pole. Growth had been stagnant since January 2026 so after some research I made the change! Hello! Just looking for some advice on Monsterra support/poles, as I’ve seen many with them. My Monsterra is getting quite big and wanted to start thinking/planning for future growth. I have two main 2 questions: - When do you know your Monsterra is ready for a support/pole. - what is the best form of support for a Monsterra?

Well, I just repotted my girl…. I’m nervous of how she will do. I got a live moss pole and I’m not too sure about it…. It makes the pot very top heavy and how do you keep the moss moist? It came with a water reservoir on top, I just don’t see how water dripping will keep the whole thing moist. Also, I got soil for monstera plants, but it seems like it holds on to water too much. Cross my fingers she does well!!!! She’s only two years old but I love her.

So, today I’m going to be reporting my girl. There are 3 vines, I’m nervous about the best way to do this without damaging her or breaking anything off. I’m also adding a live moss pole she can grab on to. Right now she is in a 6 inch pot, and I’m putting her into an 8 inch pot. I hope that isn’t too big. It’s the only pot I could find that wasn’t outrageously expensive. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!!

Hi everyone! Need some advice! I’ve had my thai monstera for a couple months now and she seems to be doing well. I recently trimmed off some of the smaller/lower/floppy leaves and I attached the “back” of the plant to the pole for support. My question is - does this look like enough support for now? I really want her to grow big and grow upward but I don’t want to do it wrong😅 Any further tips on how to really get this plant to pop off are really appreciated too! 🌿

Meet Dao (‘star’ in Thai) Ive always wanted a Thai Constellation and Trader Joes had some very healthy ones.

Thai monstera will need a repot once her new leaf unfurls!! But I’m going to need better support (she just had a wooden stake for now), and I’m not sure which direction is supposed to be her front? I don’t really want to do a moss pole, but not sure what I want to use yet…And how much bigger pot do I do? 🤔

Here’s my Mike Wazowski!! My first Monstera!! I just added the moss pole a week ago look at him do you think I should separate him into 4 plants. Or is he fine. He has sprouted several new leaves and you might see a few more coming in, in the photos.

Please be gentle with me 😅 DIO is my first monstera and I’m learning as I go. I got him from Ikea a month ago and would really appreciate some expert advice so he can thrive. I’ve learned about the dark spots on some leaves are from my misting technique, and I’ll need to remove a couple more damaged leaves. He has a grow light, but I think I need to grab a better one for more coverage. I’m planning on grabbing a moss pole tomorrow, and after reading other posts, the window he’s in is probably too small and he’ll be happier in the window up on my landing (south facing house so limited light sources!) The real elephant in the room is how many dang plants are in the pot and how soon do I have to separate him? We’re getting the odd fenestrations, and he has some big new leaves coming as well as the tiny ones popping around the base of the pot. If anyone has recommendations for books you find helpful in caring for these beauties, I’d be really grateful for the help!

This is my girl. She is about 2.5 years old. I know she isn’t getting enough light, only morning-noon. This is the only window I can have her. I just feel like she isn’t as “pretty” as others I see. The most “slits” she has is two on only one leaf. I know she’s still pretty young, but I see people post pics of theirs either lots of “holes and slits” on younger plants. Once my garden seedlings are ready to go outside I’m going to put my grow light on her. Any suggestions?? There are three vines in the pot. Also, the pot isn’t as small as it looks, I took this pic at a weird angle and makes it look tiny. I promise it’s not a tiny pot.
