I couldnât resist getting this monstera mint from facebook marketplace for $110 CAD(80USD). Was it a good deal? Also, leave some comments on care and advice (since I am stuck to it now)

Help! I got my Thai Con in around March, and she has been growing super fast since (5th leaf in progress!) But Iâm always curious why some of the new leafs are not as full and round as othersâ Thai Con (see pics below). Like for my friend her Thai Conâs split leaf looks like what youâd expect a monstera to look like. Am I doing anything wrong? Does she need more fertilizer or anything else?
Just coming on to share my newest monstera leaf with the most fenestrations Iâve ever hadđ„č sheâs huge, Iâm so proudđ±
Hi! Does anyone know what this new thing growing with my monstera is? Just noticed it today!
Hello! Just got my first monstera. Any tips? Thanks.
Why is my monstera so floppy? Itâs been this way since Iâve bought it. Iâve repotted it in May and thought it just needed time to recover. I moved it from indirect sunlight to directly in front of the window. Iâm getting new leaves every couple of weeks. I give it a good soaking every 20 days or so. I fertilize 3 waterings and treat for pest every watering. My new leaves never fully harden firm. What is happening here?
So I got a new Thai con and Iâve never had one before so I want to make sure Iâm supporting it correctly. Since I just got it, I donât want to do too much to it right now. It came with a bamboo stick I was going to use that for a few months while itâs still a baby. Would this be enough support? Should I do anymore Velcro on it? Looks like the new baby leaf is drooping a bit. I was going to switch out the bamboo stick for either a plank or coco pole once it acclimates to my home and Iâm ready to swap out the soil for an airy chunky mix.
I got my first monstera, how can I help it? I got it today for $13
Purchased this Thai constellation about two weeks ago. Just noticed the leaves started to discolor but since the plant is newish for me, Iâm not sure what could be wrong. I did repot it yesterday to provide a better soil but this was when I noticed the discoloration.
Just received this beauty from a friend! Sheâs a bit wild. Do I chop and prop? Iâd like to get her onto a support eventually but right now sheâs very wide - looks like there are multiple plants in here
Just got my first Monstera from my local Loweâs!! Any tips or tricks to help me care for her? â€ïžâ€ïž
Does anybody know of a homemade Fusarium fungicide. And also should I worry about this still.
Hi, thank you to this community for giving me so much help and information. I am still considering getting a monstera from my local nursery. They have one that I really like. I was thinking of putting it in the is location and getting a plant stand to raise it 8-13 inches off the floor. This window faces the east. There are trees in the yard so itâs a lovely dappled indirect light and my other plants are doing very well here.
Moved her to the bedroom and sheâs much happier!! Already poppin two new leaves!! Such a beautyđ„°
hi friends! I have this monstera adansonii, i watered her a couple of days ago and woke up to find a mushroom friend growing! I keep her in my bathroom (very hot and humid) so itâs perfect for fungi to grow but ive never had one in a plant! should I remove it? is it dangerous to the plant? any tips are appreciated :)
Would a monstera do well near an eastern facing window? I would love to get one and that is the only place left to place one. It would be to the side of the window, next to it and less than a foot away, so probably no direct sunlight but good indirect light. I want to sneak one into my house when I go back to the plant nursery on Monday. (as if my family wouldnât notice a monstera lol) Also, the one I am eyeing up has several aerial roots. Is that a good sign of a healthy monstera, and is it OK to remove them?
Getting dad on the monstera train !
Hello everyone, I am new to the plant community and I have this gorgeous Monstera named Marissa. We call her Rissa for short. Anyway, my lovely gal is starting to get these black spots on her and I was wondering why, what should I do about it, and should I cut those spots off or leave them? Pls help save rissa!
Iâve just had a check on my monstera thai and the soil was absolutely soaking but iâve been following the instructions of the app and iâm worried itâs killing my little baby. I have mixed some old dry soil with the wet soil i managed to get off, no sign of root rot yet but iâve had 3 baby leaves bloom and die off and wonder if this is the reason. My prayer plant also seems quite wet but not as wet as my monstera. Anyone else had issues like this?
Hey everyone ! So I just got my first Monstera ( Thai Constellation to be exact ). I recently just got the plant 3 days ago extremely healthy with a new leaf unfolding . Now that the new leaf has unfolded I notice that it is kinda droopy . Any recommendations for if I did anything wrong ? It is in low sunlight gets a good amount water (for what I think) . It does stand straight just the leaf is down . (First picture is when bought it second is current)
