Getting new leaves and I understand the color, but why the brown? Only had her 3 weeks!
I’m so excited to watch these esqueletos grow!
New Monstera mom here. I’ve had her for about a month from a previous owner. I’ve lost a few leaves as they have yellowed and browned out. Another in the back is showing the same issue. I am using Leca as my potting medium and have supplemented plant food in watering about a month ago. How frequently should I be doing this? New leaves are still appearing. Perhaps it’s time to add a moss pole for growing up as well? For watering, I’ve poured water slowly over all of the Leca which is then drained off in the pot below. There are roots poking out the bottom which were touching the drainoff. I’ve since dumped the drainoff and will continue to do so. Is it time to repot due to roots coming out the bottom? I also supplement 3 hours of low-med light a day due to placement and lack of sun. Any advice would be very much appreciated!
The University I work for just replaced the plant wall
are there two separate plants here? if so should i separate them into individual pots?
from the first somewhat “mature” leaf having only a hole, to the newest leaf having full fenestrations. i’m terrified of killing it🥲
Meet Mason! i’ve had him for about 5 months now and i’m just wondering if there’s anything i can do for him so that i get more leaf fenestration? He’s just under 2 meters from the window and gets about 3-4 hours of sunlight this time of year, is that enough?
I need advice! I repotted my monstera when I got it in April of this year in a pot two inches bigger than it had (12in pot). I recently noticed this root growing out the bottom and I’m not sure if I need to repot again or cut the root off or what I need to do, I just don’t want it to die! All and any advice is appreciated😊
I’ve just bought a grow light for my monstera. Does this positioning look okay? Will the light get to all of the leaves? The cable won’t stretch any further, but I could get an extension.
Thrips! Any advice on how to get rid of them? I’ve been using neem oil twice a week as recommended but they keep appearing a few days later. What else can I do/use to get rid of them for good?
My first post asking for some advice. I need to report my new monstera. What type of pot and what type of pot soil do people like. What type of support poles do people use? I want to try to shape it some. Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated!
i finally got a monstera! i am wondering on how often it needs to be watered and how to make it not look so chaotic (leave everywhere, stems falling over, etc) because it is super full. i also have a question on one of the leaves has some black spots. what does that mean for the plant? and why do the smaller leaves look different than the bigger leaves.?
Do you guys mist your monsteras with filtered water or distilled water? I’ve been using filtered water and I’m noticing that the leaves on my monstera are starting to get a lime buildup on them. I’m trying to clean it off but it’s not easy. Is distilled water worth the money?
New leaf 😎❤️
my very first successful monstera! all grown from a cutting 🥹 proud plant mom moment
Trying to find out what this is from? It has burnt tips on just this one leaf- I’ve cut it off 3 times now. I took it in about a month ago- I’m not sure if it had been fertilized, I probably should do that next watering as I can’t remember if I have already. It gets enough humidity and is a few feet away from an east facing window. It’s otherwise healthy, healthy roots, no known pests and it’s putting out new healthy growth.
just took this plant in and was just wondering if there’s hope. any tips to bring it back to life would be amazing
My first Adansonii! I inherited this plant as a rehab project from someone who didn’t have the time to care for it anymore. Looked relatively healthy but probably under-watered, not misted/low humidity, and possibly improper light. I trimmed any dead/dying leaves, trimmed the length of most stems and put the clippings in water to hopefully give them a fresh start. The rest went into a new pot with mostly fresh soil (kept some existing for drainage and to help with acclimation). Any other tips gladly appreciated! (The “before” is the pic with it in the white pot)
my two monsteras🥹
New growth is about 2 times the size of the previous leaf. Thanks for the help Planta!
