I'm dealing with saving an Albo cutting so here's what I did. 1. Make sure all rot, swishy, stringy roots and stem are cut away (disinfect shears before using) I'd shave off a thin layer on the top of that stem. If it's white it's g2g if it's black you have to keep cutting till it's white. 2. Sprayed down what was left with hydrogen peroxide (no dilution) Let sit for about a minute. 3. Now this step is more up to you. I'd recommend using a prop method you're familiar with, sometimes using a new method may not work if you haven't had experience with it. I put my cutting in water, sprayed the inside of the jar with HP (a very light spray), added an airstone and tridecanthea cuttings to act as a root hormone. Photo for reference.

Tradescantias are known for the same thing. They grow roots very quickly and give off root hormones.
