help! my beloved monsteras leaves are turning black and brown, and are all starting to droop. i recently moved home for the summer from university and it’s a lot closer to the window before. is this due to sun exposure? is there anything i can do to fix it? should i get rid of the damaged leaves? i’ve never dealt with this in any of my plants before and my monstera is my pride and joy :’(
Make sure it is planted in a chunky soil mix. If the soil is too wet. Replace the soil with a new mix. Try misting the leaves or taking it outside in the evenings and put the water hose on mist (it’s hot enough with this heatwave at the moment to have them outside for an hour)

That actually looks exactly like the sunburn my Thai con just got on Tuesday. It was in direct sun for a total of 13 minutes and did that. Definitely a shock considering it was living outside in direct sun at the store but couldn’t handle it at my house. I’m gonna let the plant produce a new leaf before I trim this burnt one off. Unfortunately I don’t think damage like this heals
This also happened to my rescue baby… i have two new leaves since the burn and will be removing that burnt leaf now.
