My Thai Monstera is doing so great!!! I know a lot of people are against moss poles but I just added one for support! Getting the hang of this plant hobby!

좋아요 1개I'm new to the chat. What are people saying is wrong with moss poles?
0개 좋아요Some plant enthusiasts are moving away from moss poles due to the high maintenance required, the risk of rot, and the lack of necessity for many common vining houseplants. For many growers, the drawbacks outweigh the benefits, especially when there are easier alternatives. BUUUUTTTTT, I love them! I have them on several of my plants and they are doing great!

좋아요 1개Same I don’t buy the wood ones because the stakes at the bottom have rotted on me I use a d shaped ones I get from Amazon and I get some good Sphagnum moss and boom plant doing great! I use this on my monsteras and my philodendrons and my golden pothos that I have growing vertically
좋아요 1개same. I fill my own with spaghnam moss although I am intrigued with the people that just use cedar planks. I might try with my Hawaiian pothos once it is ready for support.
좋아요 1개Yes this is what I get told I should use but I really like making my own moss poles and they haven’t failed me yet!
좋아요 1개Sometimes I like to experiment 😂 maybe I should test it on a plant I have multiple of tho
