Hi, I’ve just purchased this beautiful monstera, absolutely adore it but I’m completely in the dark with how to care for it. I’ve searched lots of tips that suggest getting a moss pole for it and pruning off the baby leaves. I want this plant to grow quite large and lush foliage. Any advice would be appreciated xx
bright light and a true sphagnum moss pole when you start to see aerial roots poking out. i keep mine as a single stem. well draining soil is a must!

How often would you recommend watering, the bigger leaves look okay But the smaller leaves and new growth are yellowing rapidly. The plant also feels more unstable and not as situated in the pot. I’m not sure if that’s because it’s leaning all to one side? Any advice please 🙏 x

0개 좋아요 ok it looks alright to me — i would trim away the baby leaves. it looks like you might have two plants in there. so repot — you probably don’t need to get a larger pot at this point. well draining soil is a must. either supplement regular potting soil with plenty of perlite and orchid bark (this is what mine is currently in), or you could buy an aroid pre-mix. for stability you can stick a coco coir pole in and tie the main stem to that. or you could go the true sphagnum moss pole route and you plant will put aerial roots into that. all depends on what you want out of your plant — tall or bushy
좋아요 1개 Thank you. Yeah I’ll be investing in a stability pole ASAP! Those baby leaves are gone, broke my heart a little 🥹. deffo going for more bushy appearance and bigger leaves so hopefully now I’ve given it a little trim it will start pushing out those. Appreciate all your support x
