Hey everyone! New Thai owner here! When I got this little plant it had 3 beautiful leaves and one pale, floppy one. So I broke off the pale and floppy one to allow for healthy growth. Well, out of that spot came the leaf on the left. It’s pale and not real firm and looks like something munched on it. But this plant sits with my others and none of my others have been eaten and no other leaf on this plant is eaten. Any ideas what’s going on here?
The missing chunk is because you accidentally cut off that part of the leaf as it was forming when you trimmed the bad leaf, no biggie i have a few damaged leaves as well. If it’s fresh it’ll take a little while to mature and “stiffen” up. It could also just be that stem was sick and is taking time to heal.
0개 좋아요 This new leaf wasn’t there when I cut the old one off. This leaf grew from the stem where I cut the old one off, if that makes sense. This leaf came up out of where the old one was after I had cut it off. Good to know it just takes time to mature! I was afraid something was wrong with it somehow! 😃
0개 좋아요Even when you can’t see the leaf yet it’s often still in a little fetus-like growth stage. I’ll attach a pic to see what I mean. It could have also just gotten stuck, either way as long as you don’t see any visible pests I wouldn’t worry. It looks healthy, and as long as the other plants nearby are good, it’ll be fine.

0개 좋아요No problem! Be prepared, it’ll take over pretty quick, I saved this one mid-June with 1 leaf! She’s in a bucket because I did not expect her to grow so fast 😅😂 (you can see my half leaf there too 😂)
