Help! My monstera has leaves that are browning at the edges. I water it once a week and spray the leaves with water daily. I’m worried that it might be because it sits under a heater and dry air is damaging the leaves. I’ve tried to redirect the heater vent so air isn’t blowing directly onto the plant, but it seems to still be browning. Any advice?
Misting, or spraying the leaves with water, does not retain humidity and sometimes will cause the tips to brown. I would also recommend moving it from the heater as it can also damage the leaves and other things. (If the heater isn’t getting a ton of hot or cold air directly on the plant it may be ok)

Browning can mean many things: going too long between watering, low humidity, or mineral buildup in the soil / poor quality of water. Could try placing the planter on a pebble tray to promote humidity, using a humidifier, repotting if it’s been more than a yr since the last repot to remove mineral buildup, or promoting room humidity.
0개 좋아요 Could also use distilled water, but typically monstera are resilient enough to withstand normal tap water. Also important to remember many people experience this:) I have a six yr old monstera and she did this for a while, then began putting out new growth that had no browning🤷🏻♀️

It sounds like you just need to be more mindful of watering. Don’t water on a schedule - check the soil. And misting is just an all around bad idea. Godspeed! 💚💚
