Propagated my monstera plant in August and it’s been in water for months growing new roots. Put it into soil about a month ago and now it has these spots on the leaves. Any help would be amazing!

I’m no expert, but typically after a plant is propagated and transferred to soil, they want higher moisture levels for an adjustment period. This helps the plant transition from all water to just soil. Have you been letting the soil dry out between waterings? If so, maybe try watering a little sooner and watching out for rot just in case. Hope this helps!
좋아요 1개Thank you so much. I definitely have been letting it dry out between waterings so I’ll try giving it more water!

0개 좋아요Are you talking about the brown spots? If so, mine has the same! I’m thinking mine might be cold damaged…
2개 좋아요Yes! My monstera is near a window and I live in Illinois where the weather gets very cold in winter. I wonder if that has something to do with it.
0개 좋아요Do you know when your monstera’s brown spots appeared?
0개 좋아요Only two days ago, I had just brought it back to my college apartment. The monstera is new so I was worried it was infection but it looked great when I got it… thinking it’s cold shock :(
0개 좋아요So real. I seriously hope mine survives. I think it’s otherwise pretty healthy. But I also wonder if it has anything to do with it being recently potted into soil
0개 좋아요I have my Monstera right up against my window and it’s winter here. Mine doesn’t have these spots. It could be fungal. I don’t have much experience with fungal infections in plants. But unless the room temp is regularly below 65 then I don’t think that’s the cause. It seems like over/underwatering. Sometimes it’s about finding the timing for watering too. For an established plant wait until it dries out to water, for a propagation transition make sure it stays damp until it takes to the soil. Watch out for rot.
좋아요 1개This is so helpful! Thank you. My room is definitely not THAT cold. Haha but not the warmest it’s ever been either. I will try to keep the room warmer but will also try to keep the plant watered and hope it survives this sickness it seems to be experiencing.
