I noticed this big root started growing out of the stem down into the soil. Is there anything I should do??

    Personally I’d leave it. Your plant is building its own support system. The aerial root will help stabilise your plant and act as a normal/natural root, sucking up water and nutrients.

      Thanks! That all sounds good. Do you think I should put a little more soil in the pot?

      Maybe a little (quarter of an inch) but you don’t have to cover the aerial roots with soil. Some people will train their aerial roots to grow outside of the pot with no damage to the actual leafy parts. You will eventually need to give it a moss pole to climb but I think you’re alright for now. Wait until you see more aerial roots growing.
