Soooo, I’ve got this monstera adansonii that has stopped producing leaves and just producing empty nodes for 2-3 ft. Any ideas why? It’s near a grow light as well as a few other monsteras that seem to be growing fine. Should I cut it? If so, where? Right after last leaf, or next node or what? Thanks in advance

Needs light when it’s spread apart like that it’s stretching to get light and waxing energy to do so

I was thinking that light may be the issue but I literally have a mature adonsonii near it under the same light with 50+ leaves and no “ long stems” . Weird , but maybe I move it to see what happens

Is that really an adansonii? It looks a bit more like an obliqua to me 🤔

Possibly it is Obliqua as I replanted it and lost tag. I have purchased both adonsonii and Obliqua and didn’t pay close attention to which it was.

I had the same issue with my Cebu blue pothos and scindapsus. Strangely, the more light they got, the worse they did with this leafless vining behaviour. It made me wonder if plants sometimes slow leaf production when they’re getting too much light?. What helped in my case was cutting them back after the last healthy leaf. Since then, they’ve been pushing out new shoots and leaves everywhere. I also moved them into bright, indirect light. Different plant, of course, but maybe something to consider.

Ty, cutting is most likely what I’m going to do. I always feel I’ve waited so long for growth and now I’m gonna cut? lol.
