I recently repotted both of my monstera delisocias into (admittedly) too large pots. They’re both putting out a ton of new roots however (I assume since there’s so much space in the pot) and still giving me new leaves. Will this eventually cause problems that it’s trying to establish larger roots what seems fairly quickly or does this just means it’s healthy and thriving?

If it’s pushing out new growth then it’s fine. That means it’s happy! Just keep an eye on it. I think the worst that may happen is the growth gets stunted. But if you notice that, maybe just add it back into a smaller pot.

I have two and one is putting out huge leaves. Here’s a hand photo reference

The other leaves aren’t nearly as big but it’s giving me double finstrations and seems to be putting out much more frequent new growth than the bigger one

As long as they’re healthy, nothing to worry about! The risk with large pots is that the soil will stay wet for too long, which could lead to root rot. So just make sure to let it dry before watering

I’ve actually found my soil is still drying out fairly quickly! I have a ton of windows and no central AC (just two window units) and the heat index here has been in the 100s for weeks now so most of my plants dry pretty fast

Aww thank you so much! I wish I could remember the name of the color! It’s like powdery pink or something along those lines
