Apparently, my Thai Con isn’t getting enough sunlight sitting at my east-facing window, one out of the two windows I have in my lil’ studio. I put a grow light and it’ll be running for the next 9 hours… but am I doing this right? I don’t want to lose her, she’s so beautiful. Would love your thoughts and constructive feedback!

It looks right to me! I’ve heard that if the wattage is higher to keep the light further from the plant to prevent burn, and vice versa. My Thai con’s white parts brown like that too unless I give her consistent humidity from a humidifier. She gets 8 hours of humidifier a few nights a week and hasn’t browned since.

I second the humidity advice, it looks happy except for that crispy section of the white/yellow variegated part. The variegated sections are a lot more sensitive to light, humidity, watering, fertilizer, etc than the full green sections, so even though this section isn’t happy the rest of the plant could still be doing fine :)

If you get some liquid silica it will keep the whites alive longer, the whites can’t make plant food so after it produces after a while it will start to die back from lack of food, the silica provides food to those white areas
