(Ignore how rough I look lol) but I potted my monstera today! I added a moss pole for future growth and her aerial root. I’m concerned because I had to put the stem of one leaf in the soil because the roots are above a big chunk of that stem. Should I be worried? What should my next steps be? (Also that African Violet soil was used for another plant, not this baby) What do you think?!
I’d just watch out for stem root as that can happen when the stem is buried. Though it may not rot. If you want to move it the root may form into a regular aerial root. But your plant looks healthy and beautiful!

the one that was buried will probably rot eventually. it's inevitable. but otherwise looks great!

좋아요 1개 you could probably go in with a chopstick or something and get all the dirt stuck around the petiole away. the part that causes the rot is what's touching the connection between petiole and stem. if you can keep the connection dry it delays it by a lot
