First time monstera owner here ☺️I recently got a Monstera Thai Constellation and I have her potted in a Tropical Plant mix that has lava rock in it to help with drainage. Wondering if there is a better, more ideal mix to have her in? She’s gorgeous and I don’t want anything to happen to her!
The more drainage the better honestly. I’ve had luck so far with even just putting mine in a slightly denser orchid mix
2개 좋아요Great variegation!! If it’s the Miracle Gro Tropical Potting Mix with lava rocks I would really monitor how long the soil stays wet after watering. I’ve found that mix by itself retains water forever, and Thai Cons are really prone to root rot. I added perlite for additional drainage, but orchid bark or anything chunky will help.
좋아요 1개 Oh that’s a great idea adding the perlite. I have it in the Miracle Gro tropical mix now. I’m thinking of making my own mix and add extra perlite and orchid mix.
