My monstera Peru has these leaves yellowing at the bottom. I rescued her from a big box store and she was drowning in water. That was in the beginning of July. I brought her home and gave her time to accumulate then repotted into a very well draining soil mix and have only watered her once. The leaves are beginning to do this. Any suggestions? It’s currently a 4.5 on my moisture meter.
Did you check the roots or the stem for any rot?
0개 좋아요 Yes, the roots had some root rot which I snipped away and then sprayed with 3% hydrogen peroxide. These yellowing leaves all appeared within the past three days and her repot was a while ago:/

Yeah it should bounce back now. They like to be on the dry side.

The lowest/oldest leaves slowly yellowing like that on most plants is typically the plant draining nutrients from the leaf to use for building something else. Typically the something else is new leaves and usually the fix is to fertilize more often and maintain a healthy watering schedule
좋아요 1개 If the leaves feel mushy or if the soil stinks, you might have root rot but those look to be healthy leaves being recycled
