He came to me in a self watering pot with a wick system…half strength 10-10-10 fert about every other filling. Reverse osmosis water only…

I did have the reservoir dry for maybe a week just after noticing the dark spot starting…thinking he may be overwatered.

That’s really strange , those markings are caused by overwatering , I would check the roots and make sure the roots are good and not too bound or rotting.

Thai cons are very sensitive to overwatering , I would make sure every time the soil is mostly dry I use a bamboo skewer and stick it down to the bottom of the pot and if it comes out mostly clean then you can water

Haven’t taken him out of what Costa Farms put him in yet…plan to upgrade him soon!

TayI’m a plant newb so this is just based on what I’ve read so far. You’ve a good amount of mushrooms thriving in the soil. I heard that means nutrients are good but could also mean too much moisture if they aren’t dying quickly.

Sounds about right then. I didn’t have them in my Monstera. They were in my Dieffenbachia. They lasted about a day. Good luck finding out what is happening with Herman!
