Hey guys 👋 Is it normal for a new leaf of a Monstera 'Thai Constellation' to be a different color than the other leaves this drastically? Also it is a Monstera 'Thai Constellation', correct? Thanks!

    This is Herman’s newest leaf! They typically start out lighter colored then harden off and get more like that biggest leaf there…Herman is a Thai Con. Yours seems so to me…

    My newest leaf is a few weeks old and still a much different shade. I believe it takes over a month to fully develop the mature chlorophyll, and even then one leaf is older and therefore has had more dust accumulate. If I cleaned both freshly it might be closer. (Ignore the normal deliciosa)

      I can’t wait till Herman matures to that kind of level! …do you know your’s age?

      I bought it from Lowe’s in late June, it probably was in a greenhouse being beefed up for 6 months prior to that I’d assume. How often do you fertilize Herman and with what? I started using superthrive foliage blend and doing it every other watering at 3/4th strength to see if that speeds up his growth because I think it can size up instead of slightly down.

      What’s the ratio of that blend? I’ve probably been under doing it with Herman…to be honest.

      This is the ingredients and the mix rate is supposed to be 1tsp per gallon of water but I typically do a little less but more often, usually 3/4tsp. I was originally using this triple 10 and jackpot combo but the triple 10 was making my foliage flower so I swapped my foliage to the superthrive stuff

    This is my newest leaf, the first one I watched develop since I got my Thai. It was VERY light! It darkened to this shade but it unfurled with the fenestration. I was so tickled!
