Hey guys I need some tips for a Swiss monstera, I have it in a chunky soil mix and I keep it humid, it has good lighting but it slowly turns yellow then brown. When I got it, it was full and healthy, I got it from Lowe’s. Then after a few weeks I noticed it started to die. I took it out of the soil they had potted it in, and put it into water to help it root. I also took some clippings. All were thriving in water, once they got roots I planted them into two different pots with chunky soil. One is looking more yellow, and the other is starting to turn yellow. One had a pothos planted with it because I read that they helps them grow. I’m not sure what to do. I can post pictures of them in the comments I don’t have any currently. The pictures on plant currently are from when I got it. It had good drainage and has gotten new leafs but is turning yellow. What do I do? And give any tips you can think of😊 my other monstera is thriving, and it’s in normal soil so I’m so lost..

It sounds like it’s struggling with transplant shock after moving from water to soil. Since it was declining in store soil, the roots might’ve been weak from the start, which made the transition harder. Even though you’re using a chunky mix, it might still be holding too much moisture for the plant’s current state. Try letting the soil dry out almost completely before watering again, and check the roots for any mushy or rotting ones. Adding extra perlite or bark can also help with airflow. Since both pots are struggling, I’d say it’s more about the transition than the pothos. Hope your plant bounces back soon!
