Greetings! As you can see in the two photos my monstera is growing well and I’ve attempted to keep her vertical using wooden stakes (and a coco poir). However it is leaning (see the side photo) because it’s heavy, so it pulls on the stakes. Any recommendations for a solution? A trellis? Which do you recommend? Many thanks in advance for your input.
I find with mine that the pot had to be large not for the plant’s sake but for the trellis.’ When I repotted I used a base that is way too large but it allowed me to anchor the support better. I used a 5’ pvc pipe, cemented it in to the bottom of the pot, added my soils and wrapped the pipe in burlap. It was fussy but I have seen two bamboo poles with wire in between as support and it looked very low maintenance

maybe a metal trellis or wooden plank that’s a little more study? You can also put the nursery pot inside a bigger decorative pot to help give the base more weight.
좋아요 1개 Thanks. No nursery pot available. I’ve had this plant for three years. She was small enough that she was on a table. But she’s always been quite healthy and has grown a lot. I repot her every year, but to a slighter bigger pot because I can see she loves being pot bound. I will look for a sturdier trellis, I like the idea of it being metal. many thanks!
