I finally made my first moss pole for my Monstera’s! I’m very excited to see how they do.

    Can you post a close up pic of the stems connected to the moss for the Monkey Mask (?) shown in the left pic? I may need to do the same.

      I had to use a zip tie because it has not formed large aerial roots yet

    Awesome upgrade! Btw for the monstera on the right, you should lower where you have it connected. It’s on the petiole which needs to free roam and it should be on the stem (right below where the new leaf is coming in). That way it can move around & grow in properly (:

      Hi GoodNiss, I’m going to attempt to strap my Monkey Mask to a pole soon and wondering if I can come back to this post/comment and post close up pics for you to inspect for me? I’m a newbie.

      Yeah sure! This is how I have my monkey mask attached to a pole if it helps for reference. I recommend looking up the anatomy to understand where the stem is. I also watched Sydneyplantguy on YouTube to learn about moss poles (:

      I just did my monstera. It had some aerial roots already trying to come out so I just aimed those in toward the pole when I strapped it down. Changed the soil to a homemade chunky mix too

      Okay here’s the Monkey mask. So does the pole promote extra growth? Does it matter what kind of pole? Yours looks expensive and fancy. Mine seems like it’s just dry hay.
