I’m water propagating an Albo top cutting I bought online and I have two questions 1) the top aerial root popped out about two weeks ago, should I let it keep growing and put it in water as well? I plan on training the roots down into the soil. (Im not doing a moss pole, it will climb a cleaned up tree limb instead) 2) how am I supposed to plant this in soil when the time comes?

don’t worry about the aerial root — just carry on until those water roots are a bit longer. if the aerial root ends up in the soil, no big deal. if you decide you hate the aerial root and want to cut it off you can do that too. personally i’d just let it go, it looks like it wants to be in the water too, so I’d let it

Now when it comes to planting though is the bottom part that I hot glued a node?? Can it go under the soil?

where the glue is isn’t a node. this was the node (pic) and yeah that’s going to have to go in the soil. it shouldn’t rot if you use a proper well draining mix. i wouldn’t pot this up yet though, not sure if you were planning to or not

Just a little update! I planned on waiting a little longer to pot it up, would you say let the roots grow a few more inches? (The aerial root is already getting baby roots after a week of being in the water)

small pot with a well draining mix & i’d say you’re good to go!
