This is Monty. Just a small guy when I brought him home from Trader Joe’s, He continues to push out new leaves and seems generally happy. I just redid the Velcro strips and I think they’re placed okay. It looks like there are maybe four plants in there and I was thinking I’d split it and repot two each into smaller pots and add moss poles to grip into instead of just supporting it with the coir pole. Any tips or advice for or against?
I would consider getting a grow light or moving it somewhere where it gets bright indirect lighting. You wouldn’t need so many Velcro strips if it wasn’t reaching for the light so hard. It would grow upwards. Any pot you get it’s going to reach forward if it’s no adequate lighting.
좋아요 1개He’s been living here. This is a north facing window. There’s space on the wall there to add a grow light that would dangle over the top of him, is that the way to go?
Yes!!! I have so many grow lights in my house lmao. It will keep your monstera from growing leggy. If it’s leggy it’s not enough light. Plants reach towards the lights. If you add one on top it would help a lot
